"Ticketmaster     Ticket Delivery Delay
October 09, 2013

Hey live event fan,

Don't worry, your tickets are coming - whether you're printing, going mobile, getting them in the mail, or planning on in-store pickup! This temporary delivery delay just gives us time to run routine checks that ensure all fans get a fair shot at seats, like confirming every buyer is a fan and not a bot, making sure everyone sticks to the ticket limit, etc. "

Hope springs eternal,
Rick

I also received this. But what does it even mean? "... ensure all fans get a fair shot at seats..." REALLY???

I doubt it. I always get this email from Ticketmaster for shows that are in high demand. I have yet to hear of them canceling anyone's order.

Re: Already tickets on StubHub 2014 tour

Tickets purchased for May 24th in Toronto !!!!!!!
This will be my third time seeing Joe.
Sooo stoked!

On a separate note, I can't understand how Stub Hub can scoop up such a block of tickets even before the official sale.
I had to shell out double the ticket price the first time I saw Joe at Massey Hall.
Joe, if you can change this, PLEASE DO.  :-)

Re: Already tickets on StubHub 2014 tour

We are VERY sickened by this whole ticket purchasing BS as well!!! We love to travel to see Joe's concerts and were blessed last year by him coming to WV, so it made the commute much much shorter than we are used to - On that note, we attempted to land some good seats by using the fanclub presale earlier this week, and none of the good seats were available to the shows we wanted to go to, so we waited until 10am this morning to give it a try, again, none of the "good seats" were available, and I was on the horn with them at 10am, on the dot, the minute the tickets went on sale - It just doesn't make sense to me that the seats were not available during the fanclub presale, we were told they only have "specific" seats available to the fan club presale event, but the minute they go on sale to the public, they are also not available - There is definitely something wrong with this picture!! I have never been a fan of the online bullshit, as it just opens up an unfair can of worms to the normal folks, and opens the door to profit to the **** scalpers with their computer programs!! I mean, seriously, how did some **** in Topeka Kansas end up with the entire front row to the show in Hackensack, NJ????? (That was a pure example)

Id like to see it go back to the old way of purchasing tickets, you stood your **** in line, rain, cold, sleet, snow, the ones who endured, got the good seats!!!!!

ANYWAY! Sally12333, we will see you in Pittsburgh in May!!! smile

End Rant, have a great weekend folks!!

Re: Already tickets on StubHub 2014 tour

Great topic - one that should get more air play. Seems to only come up when Joe's tics go on sale for an upcoming tour. It happens every day all over the country with various artists needless to say...
My story - last time Joe came to CT  I was fortunate enough to score 20 seats in the first two rows of the pit - dead center. Seats were for our CT entourage that religiously follows Joe around New England.  I actually got the tics by calling the venue directly at the stoke of 10 am - pure luck I was the "first caller" so to speak.
(I have been going to church on a regular basis ever since by the way!)
Two days after my printed tickets arrive in the mail I get a phone call from the venue - my entire ticket order was CANCELLED as all my tickets were for sale on Stub Hub! They thought I was a scalper!! ( I went on their site and verified my tics were listed). I had the actual tics in my hand mind you! Oh, the conversations I had with the venue to convince them I was not scalper. It was a very stressful time for yours truely. The happy ending - the venue believed me in the end that we were Bonamanicas. Somewhere in the process someone was going to find out why my tickets ended up on a resale website. You can guess how that worked out. Moral of the story...take the day off, be on the website at 10 am, pay the obscene fees and pray!

Hey TorontoFan..
I'm in ORCH6 Row DD Seats 7&8 for the May 24th show; on stage right.

I'm taking my sister to the show and thought of having dinner at The Old Spaggetti Factory first (since it's cheap); and praying for a Street Team Meet'n'Greet too.

What section are you in?

I did enventually score what I think will be great seats.
Just hope my new camera is up to capturing Joe at his best.

(I wish I had 1% of Joe's guitar skills)

Re: Already tickets on StubHub 2014 tour

I had no problems with the Rupp Arena tickets and got 2nd row and in a weird twist of fate the exact same 2 seats I had when we saw Joe at Rupp Arena in May 2012 cool I did just check Stub Hub and there are several listings for Front row at Rupp so that's a real shame sad An hour later trying to get tickets for Nashville was a whole other story. Online right when they went on sale and it comes up with front row center in the balcony, I was shocked it was only 1 minute after and there were no floor seats? But I was pleased with front row balcony I am excited to see Joe at the Ryman. Went to check out and clicked on the final screen to proceed with purchase with plenty of time remaining it kicked my completely off the site mad Of course by the time I entered everything again I got same section Row H, and the 2nd tier price level. I went ahead and purchased too afraid to try for anything else. A bit later I see on Facebook Rick and some others starting to get better seats so I went back on and front row in the balcony again but in the section to the right of center so I went ahead an bought these too. (the first pair are for sale I will officially post in Marketplace) I received the same email Rick did for both orders which tells me they know there was an issue with this particular venue's presale hmm

I've recently some good experiences with presales and if feasible would love to see J & R try them. For the Black Keys show at Bridgestone Arena in May it was the paperless ticket, it had to be me with photo id and the card I used to pay. Since the show was 3 hours away I was at 1st hesitant but after reading all the policies I could list them for sale directly through ticketmaster that up until midnight the day before. Great seats and all went smooth.

The other 2 shows were Tedeschi & Trucks and Govt Mule. I purchased through the presale directly from their websites and had no problems at all. Both shows I had received the venue presale information, Tedeschi & Trucks were the headliners at the Ohio River Throwdown and someone posted on the event Facebook page they had already purchased on their site one day prior to the venue presale I went straight to Tedeschi Trucks site and got 8th row center. So when I got email from venue for Govt Mule presale I checked their site and purchased a day earlier, my only option for ticket delivery was will call, got 7th row could not have been easier. Again not sure either of these are feasible for J & R but it sure did take the stress out of buying tickets at the same time everyone else was smile

So for the TM delay, has anyone any idea how long this delay may be?  Has it happened to you before?

I'm addicted.

Glad that works in CT....not so much in Chicago. Stood outside the theater the day tics went on sale. 1st person in line, hell...I was the ONLY person in line. The box office opened and I was the only person there. "How can I help you sir?" Then "sorry, there are no main floor tickets available, but we have 10th row balcony seats". There are definitely something strange going on with Chicago Theater tics.

It is the Chicago way. Like I said there is an unholy alliance with secondary market vendors at some venues. I was fearful that the Oklahoma City Show this Spring which is going to be at a TicketBarsturd venue for the first time would have the same problem. Not so front row was available during pre sale. Good seats were available all the way through the venue pre sale and the floor sold out during the first week of public sale.

Of course the Beacon had that same issue when those tix went on sale. A common denominator is the same management manages both venues. Madison Gardens so it could also be the New York Way.

I agree Bill. Two months before the Chicago concert date, 30 pit tickets just all of a sudden showed up on Stub Hub. I wish something could be done about it.

my only thought on this Bill is:
I could be wrong but I don't think you can line up on the first day of pre-sale, on-line would have been best and fastest.

but even then we're all stating something is funky that huge blocks could be sold off before the start of the sale.

Also I noticed they allow maximum 15 tickets per person..
Seems a bit high to prevent scalpers doesn't it?

I was online when pre-sale tickets went on sale...got in immediately and was only able to get 28th row on the main floor. I went to the box office because the rumor was not all seats are available for pre-sale, so I wanted to see if I could get closer.
After all the years of watching Joe play small venues in the Chicago area, he was playing historic Chicago Theater and I wanted to be as close as I could. That wound up being 28th row and I'll spare the details of THAT experience since I already vented about that on the forum, the day after the show.
