Topic: Tour de Force DVD's

I just watched the Bordeline DVD and the Shepherd's Bush DVD and they are just brilliant!! Tomorrow the Hammersmith Apollo and The Royal Albert hall DVD's. If they are as  good as the first two it doesn't get any better.............

Speechless and great respect for what Joe did those 4 nights. So many songs in such a short time!

Another must have.

Review soon on www.bluesmagazine.nl

Re: Tour de Force DVD's

how did you get them this early?!?!?!?!? they arent supposed to come out for another 3 weeks!

Re: Tour de Force DVD's

I know Django, but if you write reviews for a magazine you get it earlier. You must be on the Provogue list of course.  At least we from www.bluesmagazine.nl  get all Provogue CD's etc. before the release date for reviews.

My review will be ready next week. More then 70 songs to see.  6 hours watching, but with great pleasure!

Re: Tour de Force DVD's

It appears you have aquired advance promo copies Andre, obviously due to your blues magazine connection as you've mentioned. That sounds very positive and encouraging, I look forward to reliving those 4 great momentous "Blues/Rocking" J.B. nights from March!!!

Lucky boy, us mortals have a little wait still, never mind watching Joe in concert 4 May 2009 as we speak.....

Re: Tour de Force DVD's

Yes promo copies but the full shows. Of course I want the original when it is released, Ordered my copy at my favourite little ,but best CD shop, called Popeye in Hengelo in The Netherlands.

Joe visited that shop in 2006 because the owner Johan Dollekamp sold the most Joe Cd's in Holland and Joe wasn't welknown at that time.

Re: Tour de Force DVD's

Yes, i'm sure they are the full shows Andre. I was very fortunate to have been at all the 4 shows in London, and especially with being effectively positioned Front-Row standing for The Borderline, S.B.E. & Hammersmith Apollo!! I was on the 10th row back in the Arena area for the R.A.H. finale!! I recently caught up with Joe at a M & G in Manchester and we briefly talked in particular about his old days in the U.K., as i've followed him live since his 1st debut U.K. tour in 05.
