600 euro for a pedal? Is it April 1st already? I cannot accept the sum total of the parts in any pedal can justify that kind of cost.

Mine will get shipped nov/dec too, and i will make a little demo of it for you to check out. If you search for van weelden on soundcloud you can find  3 samples of the pedal now. Got the heads up from peter on this, but i dont know if its something new or if its been there for a while.... Maybe you have heard these samples before..??? It sound great in my ears:):)

I got Peters email last week along with the info to check soundcloud. Even before the van halen riffs I though it sounded very EVH. Liked the YouTube cell phone style sound more so.

It depends what amp you are comparing it too and what you call a quality amp. 500 euro which is around $690 US dollars. I do not know of many top of the line amps you can purchase for $700. It depends on the eyes and ears of the beholder.

It's like lamborghinis, at the end of the day, it is just a vehicle to get one from point A to point B, like a toyota corolla can do.  the question is, why doens't Van Wheelden make pedals that cost 150 bucks?  Why doesn't Lambroghini make cars that cost 10,000 dollars?  It is a matter of production level/cost, and to a degree, marketing.  I won't be buying one, but does not mean that if you have the dough, that you shouldn't.  Just make sure to post a lot of demos on youtube for us poor folks :-)  I am actually looking forward to seeing them.
