Topic: what happened!!

there was a signing at fye store in daly city ca on thursday 9-20-07. me and my family drove 3 1/2 hrs to be there by noon. there was my family and one other person that showed up! i know it was on a thursday at noon! but only two people! to see joe bonamassa! was it there "fye" fault or just the timing? anyway, i got some very personal time with joe, but i was really embarrassed for him! he just talked awhile then left!! by the way joe! how was your soup??  the greatest musician in the world and only two sets of people showed up!!  thank you joe for showing up! as usual! you were very personal! and gave my family a thrill!!

Sounds like poor planning by FYE to me sad ..........OMG I would have walked there if I thought I could have made it in time....................Patty

Hey everyone, this is my first time writing on here. I am the wife of jbfan16. My understanding was that there wasn't much advertising. I'm sure there would have been more people there if it was advertised more.  We took our 15 year old daughter and her 15 year old boyfriend and they were both greatly impressed. The boyfriend hasn't been able to go very many places for various reasons.  He could not believe that Joe would take the time to autograph his cd and then to take a picture with him.  Thanks Joe for making a young kid see that musicians are people too.  BJ

Jbfan15,16 and beyond...Hey it was worth it for you, so I know it was worth it for Joe.  It's noon time on a Thursday in Daly City...many people at work, many people on the freeway, many people eating lunch, many people in school, many people in the malls and stores (other ones), many people on the bridges, byways and highways leading to and from an somewhat isolated peninsula, all in California.  Many miles away something crawls to the surface of a dark Scottish lake....yet Joe Bonamassa is there as expected and does things unexpected...That's Synchronicity!

What could've been a better turn out didn't since Joe wasn't aware of the event when he was on KFOG radio Tue. and might have had a chance to get the word over the airwaves. It's all about timing.

It would have been great if he would have had a chance to mention it himself while he was on KFOG, too bad he didn't find out in time.  Did they know about it after Joe found out? They probably would have spread the word widely and frequently if they had, even at the last minute. KFOX is great about that too.
