Parity! Even the losers get lucky sometimes. Slice it or dice any way you want, but eventually the tide turns. Lose, lose, lose, draft high, draft high, draft high!

Re: The NFL - National Football League

You say that Oakland has a decent team, Scott. I've been snooping around on the webz and in other forums where I pick NFL games, and I really fail to understand why the entire world of football is prepared to give my appalling Skins another chance. Are the Raiders really that bad? Of all the picks I've seen, easily 90% go for the Skins, which just totally gobsmacks me. Because I have to tell you that having watched every Skins game, 'awful' doesn't even come close to an accurate picture. They've been way worse than that. Skins fans have collectively fallen back into the gloom that had been the norm for decades before last season. Really depressing....

For tonight I've talked myself into believing that the Niners surely can't be that bad three weeks running, but I'm picking them without any real conviction. I'll append the rest in due course.

49ers and Rams both horrible starts.  I think the Rams still have the 49ers number, and only revenge from not beating the Rams in two tries last year is the only hope for San Francisco Fateful.  Revenge will only work with total blowout and I don't think SF has it in them.......yet.  A split for this years 2 games I predict.  This one? Rams at home.  I hate believing another team will beat my favorite, especially division rivals, but...

Penalties against winner loses game (wonder how high the 2 team total will be?)

Re: The NFL - National Football League

easy money to be made last night, SF -3 ?? They tried to get cute with that line not expecting SF to bounce back like that on the road. think I will quit trying to pick them straight up, seems like picking with the betting line is easier.

As corn through a goose, so are the days of our lives

George - If Pryor plays I believe they'll beat the Skins.  If not it may go the other way.

Re: The NFL - National Football League

SF @ STL – at least one correct
BAL @ BUF – looks a banker
CIN @ CLE – looks like another banker
CHI @ DET – have to go with Da Bears, Lions should have lost in D.C.
SEA @ HOU – this thriller could go either way but I’ll stick with the Hawks
IND @ JAC – after last week, no doubts
NYG @ KC – how bizarre that this is a real home banker
PIT @ MIN – the disappointing Vikings should be less bad than the even more disappointing Steelers
ARI @ TB – could also go either way, I’ll go with the visitors
NYJ @ TEN – I simply can’t back the Jets
PHI @ DEN – if this isn’t cast iron we can all quit
WAS @ OAK – alright, just once more, without any conviction, and literally only because the entire world is picking them, though it would be no surprise to me to see them throw this one away too
DAL @ SD – Sandy Eggo were unlucky last week and will probably spite me this week for picking the Cowgirls
NE @ ATL – Falcons should be too good at home given the Pats current form
MIA @ NO – I fully expect Brees to do the business

They were today, but Matt Flynn is no Tyrelle Pryor. Had Pryor been cleared to play it would have been a much more exciting match up with RGIII dueling it out with a copy of himself. I'm just sayin'. Something I haven't said in a long time is.....the Browns are in 1st place!!! Week 2 of the "correction project" panned out well beating a very good Cincy offense.

Congrat's to your Browns, J Dawg.  Divisional game too.

Lol at G Dawg, don't you wish you played us twice this year wink.  Hopefully Tyrelle will be back.  The Raiders offensive line is already banged up for the season, so this is the year for Tyrelle's talents to shine.  I thought that Special Teams play might take you G Dawg.  Best defensive play they had all year, but not to be.  Congrats, It's Hammer Time
