Hard as hell to get hold of, but worth it for Phil's fans. However, don't want to be a spoiler here, but what tracks haven't been re-recorded on Peace Machine or Innerevolution were used as the "studio" half of Ruby Electric.

He won the Play Crossroads competition and did a guitar solo Friday night

I'm disgusted that they only gave him 3 minutes without his band.

I thought the contest included to play with EC and band
I was hoping for some reviews and videos from Philip's gig at THE MINT last Thursday . . .
But much more I hope he will come and play in Europe again!!!!

Philip had a Q & A on Twitter a few weeks ago and he said he was hoping to be in the UK in the next 6 months. Fingers crossed!

I'd cross all mine, but it's bloody difficult to use this keyboard!
Philip's new album, Influence has been given an August 25th release date in the EU (On Mascot/Provogue label) Pre-order and sampler clip on his web-site.
Sorry US, no word as to when it will be available for you.
By coincidence I've been thinking about Philip recently and wondering what he's up to and why he hasn't been to the UK for a while. Let's hope the new album will be "toured" this year. It's been too long since he was here.
I thought Steamroller wasn't up to the same standard as his previous work so I await Influence with trepidation.
Phil
True, Steamroller had its moments, but on the whole was just too relentless for me. From the snatches I've heard of Influence, think he's gone back to more Peace Machine kind of style.
Agree - been away too long from the UK, fingers crossed for a tour between now and early '15.
I too thought Steamroller was lacking for me.I have Ben a huge PS fan for a while and have liked everything else quote a lot.
If I had to pick a fab it would be Peace Machine.
Maybe it is a little more blues than his later works which seem to be rock and even pop sounding times.
Panic thee not Phil, he will be in the UK in November / December. Might even play Aberdeen
