The Bonamassa Documentary Part I

You're so right, Joe. I'll never forget that cold March night at The Borderline. The show was a total one off and absolutely amazing. It's going to be so emotional watching the Borderline Blues Deluxe again; you'll all be blown away (again).

There's a nice cameo of a couple of well known forum members outside the venue who I suspect may also feature in parts II - IV. I think there will be lots more Buddies to spot in those too. wink

Spoiler Alert I strongly suspect that these documentaries are part of the extra footage included in each of the Tour de Force DVDs/Blurays so, if you don't want to spoil the surprise when you get them at the end of October, don't watch now. But, if you want to get in the mood and be teased about what's to come, dive in, it's fascinating.

Re: The Bonamassa Documentary Part I

Our was out of sync, too. So nice to see the familiar faces and cool interview.

Re: The Bonamassa Documentary Part I

Yes, out of sync...for some reason I kept thinking of the old Godzilla movies, lol.

Re: The Bonamassa Documentary Part I

Mine is out of synch too.  Reminds me of those old kung fu movies from the 70s.
But it's a fascinating insight into the relationship between Joe, Roy and Kevin.  Also had fun buddy spotting!

Re: The Bonamassa Documentary Part I

loved the teaser documentary! It was interesting to know how Joe and Roy got together! But yes mine was out of sync to about mid way through!

Re: The Bonamassa Documentary Part I

Hope the synch glitch is a Youtube thing and the DVD doesn't play that way since I'd like to own that one in particular as it represents the era that I first got into JB's music.

Re: The Bonamassa Documentary Part I

Thanks for posting Phil - loved it in spite of the synching problems. Spotting buddies just brings back happy memories and a smile to my face.

Re: The Bonamassa Documentary Part I

Started watching it but stopped as I want to wait until I get the box set to watch all the documentaries properly.

Re: The Bonamassa Documentary Part I

mine was also out of sync. and your probably right this probably comes from the bonus material, at least partially, ive read that there is about an hour of bonus footage per dvd, so that still leaves a good amount of footage even if this is entirely from the dvd.

It was very special indeed, especially with having great friends like you present!

Re: The Bonamassa Documentary Part I

FWIW, I noticed no sync issues between the video and audio.

Very special indeed, to be given the behind the scenes look at this awesome undertaking, and to revisit some of the history of how J&R came to be the incredible amalgam of talents involved.

Sure am glad I've had a ticket for pretty much the entire ride, if not all of the concerts involved along the way.

Thanks, Joe, Roy, Kevin and everyone behind the scenes for taking us along!!!!

Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences.  You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway.  If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.

I really enjoyed that. I'm glad there are more to come. I like Joe's outlook, "For me it's either success, or Hindenburg. The worst thing you can ever tell me is 'average.' It's either crash and burn or succeed."
