Zach Caruso

I had to post about this kid (well, I shouldn't say kid, he's only a few years younger than me, haha). I saw him play over the weekend, and he absolutely blew me away. Killer voice, plays the hell out of a guitar, and is a really talented songwriter. I talked to him on his break and he was super down to earth - originally from the northeast, has a master's degree in English, if I remember right, even gave me a free download of his new album - which is awesome, btw, and after looking around his site, it has gotten some really positive reviews from blogs and such.

I can appreciate local players trying to carve out a living and do what they love, so I try to help these guys out whenever possible. Ironically, I saw on his site a link to the JB forums where a community member saw him open for Johnny A a little while back and wrote about Zach.

Anyway, I'll keep the JB community up to date with this guy, I'm taking my wife (also a JB and Jonny Lang fan) to see him next week, he's right up her alley!
