Topic: First time I saw Joe

DThe first time I saw Joe was at Civic Hall Wolvrrhampton.I'd just gotten into Joe and listening to.John
Henry.As the houselights dipped he started playing Django.and walked on stage.I knew at once this guy was special.DuringSloe Gin I looked around at the audience .They were transfixed.I will never forget it.

The first time I saw Joe was the BIC in Bournemouth we were lucky to be siting three rows back from the stage. To see him this close up and witness the guitar playing so close was amazing . I have seen many guitarists in my time and many great bands. Joe is up there with the best of them, and one of the few artist who gets me excited about going to a live gig .Roll on Friday night .

the first time i ever came across/heard of joe was probably 2010/11ish when youtube suggested his 2009 RAH version of just got paid when i was watching a zeppelin video since JGP contains Dazed and Confused, and man was i blown away, at the time Jimmy Page was my favorite guitarist, but Joe blew page out of the water on page's own tune.

I am a Knopfler Die-hard and I must say that it was only by talking with my fellow Knopfler fans on our forum (A Mark In Time) only two days ago that a friend had found a radio broadcast of Joe talking about MK and how he would like to collaborate with him one day! all I say is bring it on!!

That led me to look into Joe and I'm hooked and so is my wife too!!
and what just happened to be on Sky Arts1 HD yesterday morning - Joe in New York live concert - wow oh wow!!
Then tickets bought for Friday night as well......

Interesting bit of trivia for you concerning the RAH 2009 DVD. It was made possible by Knopfler releasing a date so Joe could have it from his already booked run there. Not sure exactly how it came to pass but if he hadn't released the date 1 million people on Facebook wouldn't like Joe B.

Thanks for that - that sums up what a gent MK certainly is....
So for the record we have seen MK Four times this year (Bournemouth, Brighton and RAH x2) then seeing Joe on Friday evening and then we are seeing MK in Bridport next Friday too - What a year for great guitarists we have had!!!
