Topic: Driving towards the daylight - tab book

Does anybody know whether there will be a release of a new tab book with the songs of the DTTD- Album ??  Hope so :-)

Re: Driving towards the daylight - tab book

funny you should mention this,
I was trying to figure out what to bring for Joe to sign at the meet and greet (Thanks Andy and the Street Team)
I thought about my acoustic but it's the 'beater' guitar that all my daughters musical friends use and it would never keep a signature on it, there really isn't a space on a strat (I had the pick guard idea)so;

I ended up bringing one of the my music books; the grey covered: Joe Bonamassa Collection Tab Book

He looked at it and said:
"I like this Artist approved on the cover, considering the artist doesn't know how to read music that's for "real musicians", they could put anything in there"
at first I was surprised that he never picked up on reading music, then we chucked; next time (I hope there is for me another MnG) I'll bring another guitar.

But yes I would buy the DTTD music book if they put one out

---------------

(If only I had 1% of Joe's guitar talent)

Man, I know I've been crazy busy with writing lately, but how on Earth did I miss the news about this???

Went straight to Amazon, and found there's a bundle available which includes something called "Joe Bonamassa - Guitar Play-along Volume 152" which apparently hasn't been released yet (Amazon doesn't even have an image up for it). The latter book comes with a CD, but the description is sparse. Didn't care, ordered both for the package price, and will wait anxiously for my shipping confirmation. Pretty stoked! Thanks for the heads-up, blacknight!  big_smile

Okay, this is cooler than a polar bears butt in an arse dragging contest!!

Thank you thank you!  Been thinking of what to get next, (London DVD's are looked after) and a TAB book is just the ticket.  DTTD is so high on my list of faves of his work.  Now to be able to start playing that album is going to be great.

Thanks Coach for the link too!

I also ordered this Play-Along 152 , amazon wrote last week, that it will not be delivered before the end of October, in Germany. But their shipping dates often change quickly. Looking forward to what this play-along will look like.

Re: Driving towards the daylight - tab book

I just ordered a copy as well, DTTD being my favorite studio album of his i just had to get it!!!

Re: Driving towards the daylight - tab book

I just got my copy yesterday, so far it seems well done, everything looks and sounds right, I haven't been through the whole book, but so far it looks like it was worth the $20

Re: Driving towards the daylight - tab book

i just noticed some parts that weren't in the rhythm tab for guitar 1 in Dislocated Boy, they are variations on the given part for the second and third verses. i think i was able to tab them out fairly accuratly, ill post them on another thread later this week.
