Started working on the text for post No. 1,000 because I would like it to be special, and there are so many folks to acknowledge. Sally's post was wonderful in this regard, and I am hopeful that mine will be as well. Fortunately, it appears that I have several months to work on it, so I won't have to worry about the occasional writer's block that has been a more frequent part of my life recently...

Hay Sally,  Congratulations to you!  This is also my first attempt at a Forum, drawn by the love of Joe, which I find resonates beautifully from all his fans, especially on the Forum.

I can't even imagine I will get to Bonametal, but I will someday.   I will follow Coach's example and try to compose something for that great day.  Thanks Coach for sharing that idea.

I am impressed by the tech knowledge you have acquired and I agree that much respect has to go out to those who deeply understand what goes into the music that touches our hearts.

Thanks, Jo, but I can't take credit for the idea. Pretty sure others had begun doing that long before I ever heard the opening notes of "Django" at the RAH show...
