Topic: Tribut Apparel orders and service

Just curious if anyone out there has ordered the new street team shirts from Tribut.  I did and still have not received them. This is my second order from Tribut.  I have left a message and sent them an email but no reply.    The first order was lost and I had to call them.  After a couple of emails the order was finally sent thanks to Darien at J&R.  Just wondered if I am  just unlucky or if any others have issues with them.

Re: Tribut Apparel orders and service

Hi Mary.  I have not ordered from them as yet, and not to be a downer and as an aside, just to mention I am getting to the point where their e-mails seem to arrive way too often.  Wish they could spread them out a little, it's getting a bit annoying, to me anyway...

Re: Tribut Apparel orders and service

I ordered some stuff back in February/March (tshirts to take to the England shows) - I had to email after a couple of weeks since I had heard nothing.  Got an email back in a timely fashion, and did receive the shirts before I left, but it was close.  I would love to see a system where you get an email saying that your order has shipped.  I also agree that the email newsletters from them are approaching spam status.  Once a week would be more than enough.

Re: Tribut Apparel orders and service

I unsubscribed from their newsletter because I couldn't take it anymore, and they can be accessed from Joe's newsletter anyway.

Re: Tribut Apparel orders and service

OK, I ordered a Jerry Garcia T-shirt from them. It came in very fast order but, the quality of their T's is absolutely crap. they're so thin you can almost see through them and a XXL is barely an XL. If I were any of you I wouldn't waste my money on their garbage products. I can't believe J&R are in business with these scam artists!!!

Re: Tribut Apparel orders and service

It's ok, you're not the first and the last one... I also had same trouble with ordering from J&R 2-3 years ago... but it's ok now.

Re: Tribut Apparel orders and service

Well I did not mean to start a bash Tribut thread but just wondered if it was there standard operating procedure to be slow.  I just talked to Tamara at J&R and she is checking on my order.  So we will see.  it now says on their website to expect 7 days from date of order for it to ship and 7 days from ship date to receive.  But We do not know when if they don't send a ship date.  I expect they will send it out today since I called but I just want Roy and Joe to know these things have a negative tilt to them and they may want to address that.

Re: Tribut Apparel orders and service

Well, heard back from Tamara.  My order will ship Monday and they  are giving me a 10.00 credit for a new order to make up for this.  I will let you know if it does ship out Monday or not.  Thanks to Tamara at J & R

Re: Tribut Apparel orders and service

For the prices they charge they ought to print on better quality shirts IMO. I dig a lot of their designs, but I like T's I can wash and toss in the dryer and still have it fit. All my favorite JB T's are screened on Gildan Heavyweight pre-shrunk shirts, very good quality, right up there with Hanes Beefy T's. C'mon Tribut, get with the program!!!

i know what  you are saying though. I ordered a couple shirts, hopefully they fit. usually the women's are small sizes but i was hoping the men's would be the expected size. I like some of the newer styles of shirts but i agree there is nothing like those Gildan ones. The whole Tribut extra venture made me skeptical but i have been impressed with some of the unique designs lately. I ignore most emails but the Tribut ones at least do have good discount for first order

What is hip today might become passé.....fwiw!

If you have to ask you probably will never know. wink Since I know I'll never know I don't even ask anymore. I have not ordered from Tribut as of yet since I'm one of those heavy T kind of dudes. My favorite T at the moment is Black Rock and it is Gildan. The new T Colin brought me from London is Gildan. Thought with the discount it might be worth ordering to see what Tribut was using.

Tribut is Roy's venture which I'm sure means Joe is involved. I have never had a problem with the JB store so I would think Tribut would operate the same. If it doesn't I know Roy would like to know and any negative feedback about the T's as well as service issues. Tribut is an evolving project. Since Tribut has a built in market of Joe fans I would hope they offer the heavier T's for us heavier guys and I'm not talking Heavy Metal.

Re: Tribut Apparel orders and service

I was curious about the lack of any tracking info accompanying my order of the street team shirt (order confirmation received on Aug. 9th).  So I nosed around the tribut site, and found the following:

http://tributapparel.com/pages/shipping-returns

Notice that it says add 7 days to placing your order for a ship date, and 7 more to receive it.  Seems a bit long to me, particularly with $2.80 added for shipping.

EDIT:  Sorry, in scanning the thread, didn't notice earlier posting of above info.  In any case, I figure they have until Friday (the 23rd) for shirt to arrive.  After that, I have a gripe.

Re: Tribut Apparel orders and service

I've only ordered a few Tribut shirts and I have placed those through the tribut section of the JB Store, the only exception being  the original "free tshirt" when Tribut launched. Seems I've received them timely. I just purchased several tshirts through the store for the Dog days of summer sale, I ordered on Friday the 9th and received them Thursday the 15th.  I watch for this sale every year, great time to stock up while on sale. If the Streetteam was available I must have overlooked it sad

I myself much prefer the heavy weight t's and if you like the flying tuner tshirt I can tell you it is a super heavy tshirt and is definitely one of my favorite Joe tshirts because it's so heavy. I prefer the tshirts that have Joe's name visible on this one is across the back of the tshirt. I would like to see them make some more designs on with this same brand of shirt. Adversely, I purchased the London tshirts when they were on sale and the dark red/burgundy colored one has material is so thin that it will have a hole in it after the next wash & wear and I have only worn the shirt once before. I was really disappointed with it. I did purchase the Rock History tshirt at the Apollo show I believe it is the same one Jim mentions, none of my other London tshirts were the same "Gilden" tag.

I agree the emails are excessive, so many so, that I mostly just delete without even opening, as mentioned above they are in the newsletter and through JB Store. It was frustrating, I'd been subscribed to the newsletter for at least 3 years back in May just stopped getting them and had to sign up again, but it really made me notice just how many tribut emails while I was getting but none from Joe.  And like Stu I see the Tribut ads on FB, kind of immune to those too, although I have seen in a newsfeed friends that I don't have "Joe" in common with like the page so I assume they have seen something in the sponsored ad that appealed to them.

Re: Tribut Apparel orders and service

Well...last Friday came and went.  And Monday and Tuesday of this week.  Still no street team shirt (order confirmation received on August 9th, as noted above).  So I'm now past the "allow one week to ship" and "allow one week from then, to arrive".

Time for me to find out if they "lost" my order, too.  GRRRRRR.

Re: Tribut Apparel orders and service

Maybe you do need to check on your order JBFan4Life because I ordered our shirts on Aug 15 and got an email today saying they have now been shipped. That's 12 days so not too bad.

Re: Tribut Apparel orders and service

Shirts arrived today! That was fast considering they just sent shipping confirmation yesterday afternoon. And I must say it's nice to have a size small that is actually small. Hope it doesn't shrink in the wash since it is 100% cotton and fits perfect right now. They also threw in an extra shirt (Blues vs Rock) in a men's medium that hopefully will fit Phil. Pretty good deal 3 shirts for 29.99 with using the street team discount.
