Topic: Fox Sports dumped SPEED!

How dare you FOX?  The only reason I paid too much for my pay TV service was because of the SPEED channel and now they've gone and killed it off.  All in the name of another diluted - cover a little of everything sports channel.  YOU LOSERS!

Upon discovering this travesty, I called my provider and immediately dropped my overpriced programming in favor of a much lower priced tier.  I hope this is happening all over the globe...  That'll teach you FOX!

Fellow motorsports enthusiasts, I know you feel my pain.  For those of you who may think I'm talking about drugs...just humor us as we mourn.  sad

So far, I still have it on TWC, though the local Padres coverage is still at an impasse for over a year. sad
I was wondering about that new Fox channel. I feel your pain.

we lost it too, but it may just be moved and we haven't found it yet. I really enjoyed the dirt bike races.

Still where it always was for me.  I understood there was going to be another speed/sport chanel, but not one to replace SPEED!  The original SPEED VISION was great in comparison to what we have now.  I really don't want it watered down any more.

Yep, I watched the Speed channel go from color bars to programing when it first began.  I sat and watched the last sign-off and the beginning of FOX SPORTS 1, a few days ago.  End of an era here in the states.  In those first few years, SPEED was the place to go for racing coverage.  In more recent years it had moved to more filler shows which were in constant rerun status, over and over and over.  Of course I likd the NASCAR coverage as well as the V8SC and other road and oval racing that was shown.

So far, FS1 and FS2 have been doing well with the racing coverage, and a big plus is they are greatly increasing the US coverage of the Football (soccer) matches.  All Premier League matches will finally be covered here in the states!
FS2 carried the Modified series race at Bristol, LIVE,Wednesday afternoon.  No BS delayed coverage but live as it happened.  A great start in my book.

Canada will still have the SPEED channel, as before.  I think we here in the States came out ahead on the deal.
