Topic: If Only We Lived In California
Joe just tweeted that he is going to join his friend Jimmy Vivino and play some blues at a bar on Ventura Blvd tonight. Sometimes I really wished we lived in California.

Yeah, when Joe's in town he can show up anywhere. My guess? Cadillac Zac's fest at the Sugar Mill.
Rick
You're right. It's at the Sugar Mill Saloon. You should tell Lindy so she can film it for us

You read my mind! Done and maybe she can make it.
edit, The heads up was timely. She's almost there and will have vids. Bonaspuds strike again!
Zac's 6th anniversary party. My friend Kennan Shaw who plays bass for Candye Kane posted it was elbow to elbow on FB about an hr. ago.
Go Joe!

Everybody wishes they lived in Cali. once in awhile. Tonight isn't very Cali. like here in the Bay Area. Mother Nature is acting up with a dry lightning storm passing through with Midwest like humidity.
Think Cali.!!!

Lindy Lu reported Joe only played two songs, but she got them. Vids tomorrow. I'll post the links when she puts them up.
That monsoon condition passed through here yesterday J Dawg. Unusual for it to get way up there. Coolish today and back to the normal mid seventies.
Rick
Glad she was able to get there. As soon as I saw Joe's tweet, I felt I had to let someone know and was thinking about Lindy. Glad you were able to get in touch with her. Be happy you guys in California only have humidity once in a blue moon, because we are living in a tropical rainforest here
I say that everyday when it comes to music and jams.
Comment overheard on FB, some guy named Bonamassa tried to use up every guitar note in the valley. I responded with, it's not how many notes he plays, it's how he plays them!
Think Joe!

Thanks to Lindy Lu for dropping everything, battling rush hour traffic and working her way to the front over a few hours, then capturing this jam of Jimmy V, the band and Joe who was "shattered" with jet lag after his return from the South American tour. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwnYRA_v … e=youtu.be

Thanks Linda! And thanks to Rick, too for getting the word to her and posting link.

Love that Shuggie Otis tune, Robben Ford does an awesome cover as well.

Sweet! Thanks to everyone that pulled together this "you were there" experience, for those of us who had no chance, otherwise.
The perfect entertainment, while sitting in front of my computer enjoying a late dinner.
You guys just amaze me! Thanks to all who helped capture the moment and share!

The BonaSpuds ( a facebook group of the original Baked Potato RCFP gigs gang) have their tentacles and antennae out and up whenever Joe is at home. He always seems to have time to hang with his buddies in the LA music scene and shows up for jams in small clubs. It's a team effort and whoever gets a whiff of a gig sets the jungle drums to beating and the smoke signal fires lit.
edit: Check Linda's Youtube channel for more of that show and the one last year for some amazing jamming by Joe and friends. Catching Joe with his hair down and just having fun being a "guitar geek" is a very special treat!
