Topic: Joe's music being used prior to Buddy Guy show

Sitting here waiting for Buddy Guy /George Thorogood to start at Pier 6 in Baltimore and they are playing songs from Driving Towards the Daylight album on the sound system as people come in for the show! So cool to hear! Baltimore loves Joe!

Re: Joe's music being used prior to Buddy Guy show

It was so cool! The sound guys played about 5 of Joe's songs before the show and an interesting selection as well. "Lonely Town, Lonely Street", "A Place In My Heart", live versions of "Walk In My Shadow" and "Blues Deluxe", and also "Man of Many Words" from Blues Deluxe Album. When the first song came on, I was like Holy Crap, they're playing Joe! Saw a number of people with Joe shirts on as well. The concert was great, especially Buddy Guy. I'll post about it in the other artists section and include some video.

Re: Joe's music being used prior to Buddy Guy show

I was in Chicago in late July, I knew that Buddy's bar wasn't too far away but I thought since he was touring he wasn't in town

I called on July 30 asking if they were doing something for his birthday on the 31st and sadly they told me that Buddy was in the bar on July 29th for a birthday bash sad
I learnt my lesson, I should have called earlier.

Cool that he's playing Joe

Glad you got to see him live.
