Topic: Joe Bonamassa in Sao Paulo - 08-08-2013 - mini review
Well, here´s my first review for my first ever show !!
The show started at 21:30 and went until 23:30... two hours that just flew by !!!
I was amazed, to listen to his Les Pauls live, it is not as the same as listening his shows in my home theater... it is way much amazing live !!!
He started the show with 5 acoustic songs :
Palm Trees, Helicopters and Gasoline
Seagull
Jelly Roll
Athens to Athens
Woke up dreaming
Then the bassist got to the stage along with Derek Sherinian in keyboards, and the electric stuff started, here below the songs they played :
Dust bowl
Story of the quarryman
Who´s been talkin`
Someday after a while
Dislocated Boy
Driving towards the daylight
Slow Train
Midnight Blues
Spanish Boots
Song of yesterday
Django
Sloe Jin
Ballad of John Henry
I had hopes he would play song of yesterday cause that´s one of my faves from BCC, and he did it !!
"Someday After a While", I had never listed to that song before, that was a wonderful surprise !! His solos were amazing as usual on that one.
Also I was amazed at the beginning of Slow Train, very heavy, even heavier beginning than the one in the dvd at Beacon
And then, to end up with class, John Henry, about 13 minutes of song playing, amazing !!!
I took some photos, which you can check on my facebook - https://www.facebook.com/rodrigo.tenan/ … amp;type=3
Amazing show, as I could not expect different from Joe.
