Topic: Rate the song above you (Forum game)

I'm on another forum where this is popular, so i try here and see if we can get the thread going.
It works like this:
You write a little comment about and rate the song in the previous post. And post a link to a new clip for the next person.
Any music style or artist is OK.
Example:

Great song. Nice guitarwork 8/10

Just a bit too 'nice' for me. They seem like a fun band...but I'm just not hearing any spark or danger for the circle they're in... 5/10

Been digging this band all month...

I do love ABB, basically grew up with them. maybe not one of their "best" songs, I'll go 7/10.

you can skip ahead to the 7:50 mark if you want to just hear the solo.

Re: Rate the song above you (Forum game)

Liked that track from ZED.  Didn't love it (metal sound is OK, but not really my thing).  Still would give it 7 out of 10 for solid performance in the genre.

Switching gears up quite a bit, see what people think of this "blast from the past", by the Vanessa Davis Band.

"One Plus One", the closest thing to a music video I recall ever seeing from her.  (Rate the song, not necessarily the video.  Too bad it cuts the song off, near the end.)

Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences.  You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway.  If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.

Love the track - Little Wing - the only person to do it justice IMO was SRV - i'll give Carlos & Joe 6/10 for effort.

Next up is, Porcupine Tree

Re: Rate the song above you (Forum game)

we have some PT on the PS3, I like them OK and will go with 6/10 based on the guitar riff alone. not crazy about the vocal.

hows about some different Joe, love this CD.
