Topic: Joe in Argentina 2013 - Current Situation

I've been trying to promote this show heavily on social networks and on a very famous Argentine website, taringa.net (over 20 million users worldwide) , and according to the website that sells the tickets, here's how's it going so far:

I think it's good, it's still a long way to go, but with 3 months remaining and with putting adds on the streets like last year, it can be done!

Hard to be sure exactly what that seating chart represents.  It does look like a lot of tickets still remain.

Is Joe getting much publicity about the show?  Is there an Argentine version of the street team?

Keep up the good work.

Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences.  You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway.  If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.

The Street Team is worldwide , I pressume.

In the seating chart, different colors means different sections, and the red seats of each sections are the one that have been sold already.

Basically, I put a lot of pictures togheter from the status each section of the venue, and try to imitate the original image, which is this one:

Good job on putting that together matirocker.  All street teams are LOCAL. We do what we can to promote Joe in our own home area and on the inet. It sounds like you are doing your part very well. Keep it up. smile

Re: Joe in Argentina 2013 - Current Situation

I do what I can with what I can, but I tell you, last year, there were Joe Bonamassa's posters all over the city! They should do that again.

I'll keep you posted on how the tickets are selling once or twice a month.

Rock on !

Re: Joe in Argentina 2013 - Current Situation

Cool, and thanks.  Did last year's show end up selling out?

As you probably know, Joe's been making a habit of selling out some awesome venues, even when he does multiple nights there, like at the Beacon.  (My avatar shows the latest example, here in Chicago, from last May 1st.)

Maybe Street Team Andy can send you some posters, and you can enlist some friends to post them, without getting in trouble.  Might have to get permission first, or ask local music stores and such to let you.

Re: Joe in Argentina 2013 - Current Situation

Yeah, last year's show was Sold Out, actually, in the city the publicity posters were replaced with ones that said "SOLD OUT. THANK YOU! SEE YOU NEXT YEAR" (the promise of the return made me double excited for the show that time!!)

BUT, last year the venue was Teatro Coliseo , which has a capacity for 1,757 people.
This year, it's Luna Park, which goes up to 8,000 , I believe

So it's definitly a challenge!

Re: Joe in Argentina 2013 - Current Situation

I saw for the first time today some publicity for the show in one of Buenos Aires subway lines. Hopefully more tickets will be selling now!

Yeah, I went to see AC/DC in River Plate stadium, amazing concert. But sadly, Joe's show will have seats so it'll be "boring" crowd-wise.

I hope it gets in the setlist! hahaha!!

Re: Joe in Argentina 2013 - Current Situation

There is no such thing as a "boring" crowd of Joe B fans.  Even if we are expected to sit down and "behave" properly. wink

Well, when you look at most crowds in Argentina are not with seats, you get used to have that kind of fun, so when there are seats... it's a little more boring!

Re: Joe in Argentina 2013 - Current Situation

I hear you.  Joe does mostly seated concerts, these days.  But standing for a Joe show is really great, IMO, too.  Boogie with the Joe B faithful, always fun.

Re: Joe in Argentina 2013 - Current Situation

We're very close to the South American tour!

Argentina's show is selling very well, I'd say it's about 75% - 80%

I have some flyers that the Street Team gave me I'm leaving in Buenos Aires so I hope it helps.

Go Joe! South America supports you!
