Topic: Duane Allman 7 CD Box Reprospective

Yesterday I got this extraordinairy Cd Box of  Duane Allman. It is THE ulimate Duane Almann collection holding 129 tracks spanning his total carreer. A 76 page booklet, 9 previously unreleased songs, liner notes, a guitarpick replica and songs from the ABB, Derek & The Dominos, Aretha Franklin, Herbie Mann, Wilson Picket, Boz Scaggs and more. Duane played on all these songs.

Only 10.000 copies worldwide and all sold out in presales I heard. My musicstore owner Johan Dollekamp from shop Popeye( just chosen as best one man Cd shop in Holland and friend of the ABB), had 10 copies and gone within 5 minutes. Price; 150 Euros.

Johan just read that in the USA  a man wanted to give 500 dollars for the Box already...

Something to listen to the summer holidays!!!!!

I was lucky enough to get my box set a few weeks ago. It is excellent.
It makes you wonder what he would have went onto achieve had he not tragically died at such a young age.

I bought one of the Skydog sets from Hittin The Note and was able to get a forum friend frm over the pond a set from Amazon for when he came over for Joe
