Re: Help design the official Street Team shirt!
Honestly? I actually don't like any of them very much. No guitars? I still have my old one somewhere.

I have concerns about the first one with the backstage reference.
It seems it is based on one fan's story but I can guarantee it will lead to assumptions about getting backstage. from the wearer and from the observer.
unless that's gonna become some sort of given I seriously recommend a rethink on that one. I do like the design, but it is trouble waiting IMHO
I hope they check their spelling before they print any of these up. The one that says backstage access has "access" with only one "s". And agree with Jane, might lead people to make a bonamassumption there is access to backstage.
Have to add, agree with Sandy as well. None of them thrill me. Hardly a guitar in sight. Could have been just a simple profile of Joe with guitar with "Joe Bonamassa" on the top and "Street Team" either below or on the back.
Have to agree with many of the comments.... not in love, not even in 'like' with any of them. I've been a designer for most of my adult life and sure would like a shot at the design process. This is Joe we're talking about. Let's open this up to some serious music lovin' designers.
+1.
You guys are harsh. I think #2 is really clever.
I was going to have a look at the design link posted by Andy, but was blocked from accessing the site by my security software. Claims it's a known malicious site with a virus payload lurking....?
I'm not discounting a possible false positive in the automated system that blocked the site, but here's the report I saw:
http://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?u … ce=toolbar
FWIW, I went to the link anyway, and see no signs of actual trouble, but interesting (to me, anyway) that was flagged.
On topic...of the 3 designs, I like the second design best.

Plus 2
They seem kinda of cheesy to me.I just could picture myself wearing them.Sorry but that's my honest opinion
I can't choose because I can't see myself wearing any of them. There is no WOW! WHAT A COOL SHIRT! factor for me. Sorry

I agree Patty.
Thanks for the feedback guys. We're designing this shirt for you and we want it to be something you love and want to wear, so we're going back to the drawing board with the designs. Any other input is welcome.

If you have a picture of it, please send it to me at andrew@jr-adventures.com

Good thought and one that didn't really cross our minds when designing it.
also I don't want to complain or be a downer but I want to say I hope its not called the JOBO superfan shirt (re: JOBO superfan gallery)
also, I truly dislike the tribute site not letting you back out of the page
No, it will be something along the lines of official 2013 street team shirt. There are links on the bottom of that page to the Tribut site, but I just sent a note to our web developer asking him to make a more apparent one up top.

Not entirely sure how they would feel about using other people's designs from a legality/creative standpoint, but let me talk to them and I'll get back to you on this one.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I've sent it to our developer.

No need to be sorry, your opinion is what we're looking for.
We're not trying to force a design you guys don't like- the point of doing it this way is to open it up and get your feedback throughout the design process. Obviously there's no pleasing everyone all the time, but when an overwhelming amount of people seem to dislike most of the designs, it's back to the drawing board.
Like I said, all input is welcome and expect to see the new designs next week.
Glad to hear that you are going to change it. I did not want to be a complainer. I know you will come up with something good.
SO Andy, will you be accepting fan-created designs at all? (e.g., Nic above)
Or considering the golf shirt idea? I think that's more classy...

For this street team shirt we're going to stick with our Tribut designers. I had a conversation with some people in the office about accepting fan-created designs and it's actually something we've been considering for the few months, we're just trying to figure out how to best implement and execute it and feel that it deserves its own promotion. In the future and maybe for the next street team shirt (2014), we'll open it up to some fan-created designs.
As far as a golf shirt, while I don't think it's necessarily "street", I do appreciate the classiness of it. I'll look into doing a polo or something to that end once we get the t-shirt wrapped up. Good idea.
Here is the logo that was on the old street team shirt:

Granted it was from the Fender days. The ones who have been here longer than me could remember when it was used. There is a lot of good ideas incorporated in that one logo. Had a small logo on the front pocket area and a larger one on the back. I do not know who did the original design.

I second that an thanks for finding and posting it Sandy.
I do think incorporating a guitar in the design makes sense.

It gets my vote, and I like the historic sense of it too. I am with Coach on the left out of Facebook feeling.
I am working on it. It always surprises me, the things I will do for Joe (or even think about doing for Joe). First Facebook then who knows what follows!
Alrighty, as promised, the new designs are here: http://trbt.co/15qnBJM
We kept the one that had the highest amount of votes from the last round and added two new designs. Take a second to check them out and vote!
As always, I appreciate any feedback and input.
