Topic: johnny winter & edgar winter b.b. kings nyc 9/15/07

went to see johnny and edgar last night in the city at bb kings short show johnny only played about 50 minutes but he kicked **** and edgar played about 45 minutes . i couldn't figure that out since it was the late show and the doors where suppose to be open at 10pm and we waited on line on 42 st from 9pm untill 11 pm before they let us in . it's always a freak show there so time went by pretty fast hanging out and watching all the freaks go by . we had some beers on line smoked a few joints and talked about alot of blues . i handed out about 300 or so joe bonamassa cards . going up and down the line alot of people i talked to knew of joe or saw joe so that was a good thing . the only thing that sucked is that the show was only 1hour 50 minutes and we spent 3 hours on line . kinda sucks when you are on line for a long period then the time of the show . then you get in and the prices in bb kings are off the wall one reason why i hate going there but they have some real good shows there . so anyway the good thing is i recorded the show it came out killer and here is the setlist . one other thing while we where on line some drunk girl walking down the block threw up on the sidewalk in two different spots .there are so many peiople on the street in about 1 hour the puke wasn't there anymore from people walking in it and not even knowing well we thought it was funny because we where standing on line with nothing to do so we all where laughing at the people walking in it and not even knowing well i guess you had to be there to enjoy the funny .....

i passed them out before , after and while i was smoking , i even gave one to a cop on the street he had to know i was smoking because i was cupping the joint and faning it like that would stop the smell but the city is cool and cops really don't care about that kinda stuff ..joe

Geez Joe,

New York sounds like a gas! Who needs to pay for a show? Just go stand in line somewhere and watch the show develop right in front of you. Hey, thanks for the warning! If I ever visit the "Big Apple" I'll be sure to watch where I step!!...............................LOL!!

Roy

Roy - Let's go to NYC and visit Joe - sounds like he would know all the cool places to go.
Joe - I listened to the SRV CD - it's almost painful knowing what happens at the end.
But anyway, thanks again, and we are making a copy for the guys who offered us the
tickets - they still have them.

NYC is...interesting.  That's the point.  Just walk around and you're bound to have fun, even if you didn't intend to.
