Just stumbled onto it  - he's from Oklahoma - looks like he gets around:

Spent a second on his mentioned flicker site showing many of the items.  He mentions two Joe items in the ebay list. Found a Joe shot signing / posing with a Goldtop Epi'y (mid way down on page one - they guy has pages and pages. (Only checked out the first page) Interesting stuff to see.)

I'm in agreement Jane. I have a book of photos of Bruce Springsteen and his band from the "old days". It's been signed by a few members of the band but Bruce signed it to me and I'd never consider selling it.

I hear you Jane...and it's not apparent that the desire to sell is based on hard times, or a need for cash.  Wow, that's a huge asking price for the collection.

Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences.  You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway.  If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.

Maybe it's just me but I hate to bother the artist (although I really want to bother them a lot!).  I think if I had spent that much time collecting these wonderful goodies, plus the time to ask for them to be autographed, I would never let the items go.  Clearly this guy enjoyed being around musicians and it appears these times meant a lot to him.  Why dump everything? 

Personally, if I ran into Joe on the street sometime before the show, I'd want to ask a million questions, gush about how I'm so hooked on his music, want pictures, etc.  But I'm afraid I'm too timid for anything more than a smile that says "I know you" 

Or maybe "you're my drug", "can't go a day without listening to my Joe", UGH-I hear stalker in my words!  LOL

This is the kind of person that ruins it for fans who just want an autograph. I've had Joe sign a few things over the years, but the thought of selling them is so wrong IMHO. Upside. Maybe they'll go to somebody who will cherish them wink

I can't touch this but I sure like looking at all that stuff.  I love how he has those framed so nicely.
