Topic: Isle of Man

The Isle of Man TT race is on Velocity this week. LOVE watching this race! I'm amazed at the speeds these guys attain on these roads and being literally inches from the walls etc. Whoever is  actually filming this is doing an excellent job as well. I have to add this race to my "Bucket List" to go to. As a spectator, not as a participant.

Why don't we eliminate all the warning labels and let things sort themselves out?

Re: Isle of Man

It's a great yearly spectacle of true road racing. Luckily the highlights are on ITV4 every night.
If you want a good watch try the following dvd.

Re: Isle of Man

Been a long time since I went and of course as everyone knows IOM TT races are the very pinnacle of bravery or craziness whichever way you want to look at it.

What most impressed me most was the sidecars. These amazing machines capable of such astonishing speeds and there is a guy hanging out of the thing as they brush the side of houses and stone walls. Truly awe inspiring, but I hated the feeling that I was watching, kind of waiting for someone to get fatally injured. It is great it still exists in this sanitised world, but it is a fact that this is sporting event where annually someone is pretty much guaranteed to die. There are not so many of those around, and probably for the best of reasons.

Those guys really must have massive b****. Even the slowest will be dicing with the grim reaper.

I'm glad that there is still a race like this that the "Nanny State" hasn't got it's claws into. I obviously don't want to see anyone get killed, or even hurt for that matter, but all these riders know the inherent dangers involved and I hope the powers that be leave it alone.
