Still not at Barnes & Noble, but they did have the Guitarist Greatest Blues Guitarists with small pic of Joe on cover and then a nice article on him. The full page photo of him was smartly handsome.  I especially enjoyed reading Joe's opinion on So Many Roads...my opinion, Joe's best song ever....it is epic! And Joe spoke very highly of it too.  It could very well be my most favorite Joe song recorded and LIVE........sorry for straying somewhat off topic......  Plj

Patty, I am only linking another link because yours works on my mobile devices but not in house computers...

I agree, an EPIC song by Joe B every way he plays it.

I would think it will be at B & N soon.  I'll check this week if I can get to one.  Some of you might want to consider Nook subscriptions smile Single digital issues available also wink (I don't collect Joe magazines at all, don't ask why.  But I am actually really considering this sort of thing):

Re: Joe on the cover of the July Classic Rock magazine

Great read and I hate to be so critical of small stuff, but there are some pretty obvious errors...and i think if you're writing for a fairly major publication, you should get the facts right:

They referred to the album as "You and I"
They said Joe played John Henry all four nights.
And the funniest, silliest mistake of all was the small inset of Joe and Beth, where they quote Beth in the title: "The guitar is Joe's way of exercising his demons." REALLY??? Did he have them on a treadmill? Elliptical machine?
LMAO...Pretty sure Beth meant "exorcising".

Still loved the article and interview portions, and it was nice seeing some people I know in that Borderline photo.

Re: Joe on the cover of the July Classic Rock magazine

Also just picked mine up at B&N.  I have called them every day for the last week to check.  It's displayed front and center at eye level.

I can see why some longer-time forum members said keeping up with all the mags featuring Joe is breaking the bank!   roll

Re: Joe on the cover of the July Classic Rock magazine

Got mine too. Enjoyed the interview and Joe's Bag of Bones.  Fun to catch some "behind the scene"  scoop.  The biggest fun for me about it all is seeing Joe on the covers cool  We use to have to search and search for his name or a random picture here and there......now Joe is everywhere smile   All good things come to those who wait wink  ( an English phrase extolling the virtue of patience.)

P.S.  I wish someone would have noticed and smoothed down that one lock of hair on the cover,
it's like that big piece of tape that was on Joe's shoe at RAH I   lol

Re: Joe on the cover of the July Classic Rock magazine

Just listened to the Bag of Bones cd included with the magazine.  Don, you're right.  What a blast.  Some great hard driving music. Terrific tunes selected by Joe.  Track 5 Don Airey sounded a bit Glenn Hughes-esque!  Getting acquainted with JJGrey&Mofro from another friend as well.  Capped off with the beautiful Best 10 Minutes of Your Life.

Thanks Joe!

Re: Joe on the cover of the July Classic Rock magazine

So happy I was finally able to find a copy of this, didn't think it was going to happen. Found it at the University of Maryland on-campus bookstore. There were three and only one still had the cd attached. People must have pilfered the cds off the other magazines. Can't wait to read and listen!
