That should be cool. Had heard they had tried to get him for the NY Rock Candy shows, but I guess that didn't work out and they got Daniel Sedownick instead.

I think it is great. I loved the work he did on the Accoustic show. I imagine he will do some really cool and unusual things on percussion.

Lenny is a master of percussion. Perhaps Joe lets him some room for creativity solos like Arlan on the keys. I loved Lenny`s part in the acoustic set!

Nice. Enjoyed the video, surprised I hadn't noticed it until I saw your post. (I prowl the regular's channels, quite a bit.)
Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences. You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway. If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.

If I were to guess, Lenny can add to the acoustic pieces ala the mini tour as well as the electric portion since he's so versatile. Is Joe going towards a bigger band? He sure liked that stuff in London and I'd love to see some brass added now and then. As Joe said at the big Blues show in London, "a proper Blues Band has horns and brass!" I couldn't agree more.

Depends on what kind of Blues you are playing. This right here, just is making my fur stand up.
I mean go ahead and do it for awhile, but you are really deviating from what some people like.
Some of those horns on the Seesaw album sound canned and I was happy to hear some of it stop so I could listen to his solo. Some of the horns where very well placed and others eh.
He's a chameleon so he can change it up.
Personally I like traditional and all kinds of Blues. I can take it with horns or without. And I love me some horns in the proper setting. My 2nd favorite group of all-time is Earth Wind and Fire who wrote the book on having the best horns. But they arranged the songs for horns, not vice-a-versa, where you just add them to a song. Of course they were the Pros at doing that.
Also another one who does it the best is Colin James. He knows how to do it right.
I just don't want it to take away from what I came to listen to and that is Joe. It needs to be a good enhancement instead of a distraction. For me it more depends on the song, instead of just throwing in the horns in every song.
Joe is a freaking guitar player. I want to hear him play guitar. He's one of the best at it, he can do so much with it. I want him to be more creative with that, not this other fluff.

Yes, I like that. It's toe-tapping and enjoyable. It good for a nice evening out.
But I don't love that.
It actually illustrates my point. He dumbed down his guitar playing to fit into the horns. It's bouncy, but it's not really bluesy. It's good, but not great. There is no fire in that performance. It's nice to listen to. For me, that is not where Joe fits in the best. Brian Setzer knows how to play with horns so Brian's guitar playing stands out. He can fit exceptionally well in that criteria.
Joe for the short-term with horns is understandable. But for his music to evolve into this, no.
I'd like to see him stretch his chops more with the guitar. More like Jeff Beck, than this kind of stuff.
Like I said with Pain and Sorrow. A number of guitar players can play regular songs, but not just anyone can do pull off that masterpiece.

All I'll say, is I would have killed to see that live. (Well, not really...)
But sure glad I got to see the recording. And I'll respect the Cat's opinion, even as I disagree, at least in part.
I'm not looking for Joe to take a 3 piece horn section on every future gig (or album), but I don't expect to ever see him as a power trio all the time, either.
And Joe never plays w/o "fire", but that's just my opinion, and I could be wrong.
