Re: Joe and Beth Hart

I've listened to Seesaw a few times through now and it really is a great bunch of songs. Love "Love You More Than You'll Ever Know" and "Rhymes" is a really fun, head bobbing song. "A Sunday Kind of Love" reminds me a lot of Sea of Love from the Honeydrippers. It's probably the background strings that makes me think of that comparison. Each time through I pick up different stuff I hadn't noticed the previous time.

Wow. You made a video that really captures the eeriness of the song. I think it's stunning.

Awesome video for an awesome Billie Holiday cover. I kept waiting for a soaring Gilmour-esque solo..maybe in the live version wink

Holdem' ...Joe plays virtually nothing here, like the expertise of Gilmour.... which, for me,is one aspect of this song which makes it so monstrous! ...before i found Joe... 'Time' was my most favourite, number 1 solo! ...now,i'm not sure what it is!? ....probably India!?

Just heard Nutbush and it's an amazing cover! Sounds like Joe is using his Fuzzface in that song. Can anybody confirm that?

Sorry to veer off here, but have to say I am transfixed with Joe's RAH India.  enormous beauty and emotion.

Re: Joe and Beth Hart

Anyone who has time show your support on the large retailers like Amazon & iTunes by writing a review. I'm surprised at how many people seem to only want Joe to do one genre and I guess no other genres are allowed. Way too limiting of a view IMO.

I see today that SeeSaw is the #1 Blues album in iTunes in multiple countries. Congrats!

Re: Joe and Beth Hart

listened to the album today. inferior to their first album imo.

not that it's a bad album by any stretch, but it's not as good as the first I feel

Re: Joe and Beth Hart

For me they surpassed the first one. Same quality but more upbeat and rockin. I listen to it everyday and it's one of the highlights of the day. It's gonna be a long time before I go a day without listening to it.

I also made a playlist in itunes with both albums together alternating each song between SeeSaw & Don't Explain. Great playlist!

Re: Joe and Beth Hart

I loved the first album, but for some reason, way out in the backwaters of Australia here, I managed to miss all the promo about the new one !?!

Then a couple of days ago, I saw it pop up on my Spotify playlist.  I played it through, then played it again, and again.  I love it.  Even better than the first one.  I am going to buy my own copy on iTunes now.

I think Joe has one of the Matrix 'brain chip' things.  Before he leaves home in the morning, he must say "Hmm, what genre and I playing today?" and choose the appropriate chip and plugs it in.  Nothing else can explain how he can change his playing style so completely...
