Re: Thoughts and prayers for all affected by the Oklahoma tornado

So glad to hear that you Jim  and Colin are o.k!! What a disaster in Oklahoma.

I'll make a donation today for the 5 families. I wish all involved the best and that there will be enough help and support for them.

all hail Oklahoma, still grinning over this. I don't know about the Flaming Lips, not my thing. I tell you what they do have though, Oklahoma City is the largest city by total square miles of all cities in the US. The other thing they have is this hamburger they do on the griddle where they press raw onions into the meat pattie before turning it. Thanks for the donation links Jim.

Relieved to hear that you and your family are okay. Immediately thought of you and your son when I heard about this. Hard to fathom how people can deal with life in the aftermath of this type of disaster. Where do you even begin to pick up the pieces and go on.  Its truly amazing how incredibly resilient people can be and how they somehow find a way especially if they have help and support from others.

Re: Thoughts and prayers for all affected by the Oklahoma tornado

A fb pal and huge Joe fan posted pictures of the twister snapped from her back yard at a range of probably a mile, as well as golf ball plus hailstones that dropped. She was there in the last one too with near miss and no real damage. If I lived there and was planning to rebuild I'd sure have a hole to dive into built as well.
Any that can please make a donation, however small to the ARC.  Those poor folks need a lot of help.

To quote a Hank Williams Jr. song, "A Country Boy Will Survive".

I've been flooded out twice. The wind has blown us out around but Thank God and our good friends, not to mention your own survival instincts, you WILL get through this.

Always give. Even a little. Please.

I'm very saddened by the deaths & devastation but I'm always revived by stories of families who know they can still make it. And they will.

Stay Safe Y'all!
