Too keyed up still, can't get back to sleep. Glad everyone is enjoying! Ron, we may have some takers for some of those Rock Candy tickets. The people we brought with us last night were of course shell shocked by Joe. After the show they exclaimed "We're not virgins anymore!" Bob, the older gentleman saw Miles Davis play at the Iridium in like the '60's and he was definitely enjoying Joe. He said "Tell your son you're not zealots, you are people who appreciate quality music." He will probably be the one who will go to see Rock Candy with us. The promo cards they were handing out at the Beacon were for the Rock Candy shows. Rocket, still hoping you can come. The internet seems a little faster this morning, so may try and upload So It's Like That, Who's Been Talking with Anton, or John Henry. My favorite version of John Henry is still the Vegas one, but last night, Arlan was just incredible on it. So glad our seats turned out to be good. We were up in the loge, next to the back row, and was worried before the show started that maybe the sound wouldn't be so good since there was a balcony over our heads, but once Joe started playing, the sound was just killer. And the rows are steep, so I could see right over the people in front of us smile! Phil's recording sounds really good, also. Joe said that each show is going to be different so can't wait to see what's in store for tonight! This is definitely making up for not going to London. Thank you Joe for ending the tour with a bang!

I do not have the right words to thank you for putting up these videos.  I have posted here or on facebook  that I wished Joe and Warren would do If Heartaches Were Nickels.    Just so unreal.  Perfection.  Thank you and Phil both for sharing this wonderful music with us.  JOE BONAMASSA YOU ARE THE BEST.

I too had been so wanting to see that song, and for Warren to do it with Joe, and it being Warren's song and all, just blew me away. I just wanted to jump up and down, but I had to stay real still for the video. Feel free to post the links on facebook so others can see. We need to share the love!

One thing about a Joe show, 8pm means 8pm!!

Re: Beacon Theater 5/16/13

Natasha, just saw your reply to my post.  When I got up this morning I checked my emails and twitter to see what songs Warren and Joe did.  I saw that Bill (Bonamassa Live) siad If Heartaches Were Nickels and started doing the happy dance at home in my pj's ( i know not a picture you want in your head)   I was just so excited.  I have loved that song since I started following Joe last year.  I had searched for vidoe of Warren doing it live  but could not find anything.  So you see why  I did the happy dance. Sorry to the moderators of this forum if this is too chatty.  I am almost done.  Just loved Warren's guitar on this.  So excited to see if anyone shows up tonight with Joe.  Thanks again

I don't know how you sit so quietly to tape. I'd be all over the place. The one thing I have to say is the audience sat pretty much the entire night which made it easy for me as I have a bad foot

Re: Beacon Theater 5/16/13

Here is "So It's Like That" with a really nice solo by Arlan in it

http://youtu.be/uiK88BEfo20

And "Who's Been Talking" with Anton Fig making a guest appearance

http://youtu.be/F9l4C7LYnWA

At first I didn't realise he was there because I'm looking at that little screen and then I looked at the stage, and I was like Whoa! what's going on here! and zoomed in on Anton. Phil was trying to signal to me, but he was father down the row and I couldn't see him in the dark. And I was trying to get his attention as well. The people we brought who were in between us must have wondered what we were getting all worked up about. Having never heard of Joe before, they had no idea what an amazing show they got.

Re: Beacon Theater 5/16/13

Thank you SO much Natasha. I'm another that feels like I'm sharing the experience because of these killer vids!! Joe seems to have beaten the bug! smile

Re: Beacon Theater 5/16/13

Not only are the videos great, but I really really love Joe's hair short like this!!!  I had read on twitter a few days back that he had gotten a haircut at Great Clips.  They did a great job as far as I'm concerned.

Cathy, it really seemed like Joe was feeling good again. It must have been your chicken soup smile

Here is the "Ballad of John Henry". Arlan's solo was just amazing on this one and of course Joe was incredible as usuall!

Love the psychedelic out of focus effect at the start of the theramin! (I mean it, not being sarcastic, that's how us flower children roll)

Re: Beacon Theater 5/16/13

That snippet of FLAE from the RCFP gigs is cool at the beginning of that huge solo of Arlan's. Joe's big smile at the end says it all. This song has become a cornerstone of the "new sound". I pray this is one of the songs at Doheney, He'll just slay the crowd.

Here are the rest of the videos I took from this night:

Jelly Roll

Athens to Athens
http://youtu.be/rK5TA2DaWJQ

Woke Up Dreaming
http://youtu.be/-Un3TCA4Ypg

Django/Mountain Time
http://youtu.be/jF91wYuAtZE

I was amazed at how good the sound was up in the loge, almost better than down in the orchestra, and a good view as well

Re: Beacon Theater 5/16/13

Natasha, you are really doing great work here!  Thanks so much.  With the sad news out of Oklahoma tonight, this video really lifts my spirits

Re: Beacon Theater 5/16/13

Just posted this in other artists but thought I would also add it in here - think Warren must have been inspired by his little get-together with Joe.
