Great music!!
I'm off to my first Virgil & The Accelerators gig this evening at the Beaverwood Club, pretty exciting stuff.
Car load from the seaside as well
3.30am just got back. I guess I am biased but it was a stonking gig:)
Pete posted this on Facebook. We know Virgil is a master, but what a joy this 15 y/o boy is that joins him

Another gem from Pete. "Silver Giver" My absolute favorite song Virgil does. Stunning!!!

Clive - you're singing to the choir, but sing up anyway.
Missed the lads in my backyard at Mainsforth on Saturday, tough choice, but went to se Ryan McGarvey at Hartlepool. When I arranged this, had it planned to catch VATA at H/pool next week-end. Anyway, thought you'd enjoy this clip from the last time the lads passed through town. Mainsforth is a big room with a big stage, and VATA love it:-

Virgil & Ryan will get to meet up at Bristol - Ryan's looking forward to finally meeting his "UK brother". Don't know what the jam will be like, but I'd love to be a fly-on-the-wall for the soundcheck rehearsals ......hint, hint....
Thanks for that I am on a roll in 2013
Joe at the RAH
Simon McBride in a Church
Julian Sas
Virgil and Accelrators
Walter Trout and Laurence Jones last night
Ryan McGarvey tomorrow
To old to rock'n'roll No never
That's a pretty good combination; my May has been:- Chantel McGregor, Mitch Laddie, Aynsley Lister, Federal Charm, Ryan McGarvey with Billy Walton Band, Marcus Bonfanti and The Mentulls to come. VATA were in there until a venue closed, but I'll get my "fix" soon.
Dont get caught out tomorrow at Bristol, it all kicks off at 8.30pm sharp.
So perhaps the most hotly anticipated jam of the year so far on UK soil finally happened last night, as the foundations of Bristol’s old Temple Meads railway station shook to the strains of Freddie King’s “I’m Tore Down” as played out by Virgil & the Accelerators and guest Ryan McGarvey.
Immense fun!

That's the trick bag well and truly plundered! As you say, hotly anticipated and certainly didn't disappoint. And what a subject to wait for before first post in a while - nice to see you back.

Indeed, indeed, all accounts!
Thanks, Ian! Good to see and hear you out and about there and here! I believe the word immense fits quite rightly the fun Purveyed and displayed! Very cool. Thanks again. For some odd reason I thought of Peter Frampton when Virgil turned certain ways...almost looked like a similarity to the cover of "Frampton Comes Alive" for a moment.
Rock ON & Keep the Faith,
Rocket
Here's an amusing little moment at the sound check when VATA and Ryan McGarvey were playing the Tunnels in Bristol.
