Last November, caught Laurence Jones supporting another of the Best Overseas nominees, Buddy Whittington at Sedgefield R'n'B Club. 1st night, they let him extend his set to a full hour, 2nd night he jammed a couple of numbers with Buddy (unfortunately, can't find any clips) - he's a fearless young player well worth keeping an eye on.

Saw Laurence and his band open up for Chantel McGregor in Newbury a couple of weeks ago. He's a seriously good guitarist and it'll be a real bonus if you find them opening up for the band you're going to see.


Possibly a hard to find vid, as the artist is named only as "lj"and I didn't spot it on Laurence's listings

Guisborough R'n'B Club are giving Laurence & the band the headline slot on June 8th. No word of any support, but a good opportunity to see what the lad can do at full stretch.
