Topic: Hello everybody!

Hi everyone, I'm Alex from Lancashire in the UK. I'm 16 and have been playing both the classical guitar and electric guitar for about 10 years now. I met Joe last year after his gig at the Blackpool Opera House and have got tickets for his Manchester show in September. It's about time i started an account considering i go on the 'equipment and gear' topics all the time! Glad to finally be a part of this great forum. Joe is the best guitarist of this generation and it's refreshing to have a place such as this which recognises a proper musician and not just a marketing tool for Simon Cowell......

Re: Hello everybody!

Hi Sally and Peter and thanks for the warm welcome! You asked how i discovered Joe, well... it was about 2 years ago now and a friend of my brothers was at our house and he was talking to me about guitars and stuff. I was (and still am) a big fan of Muse and showed him a rig rundown of Matt Bellamy's guitar equipment on Youtube and then he decided to show me a video of Joe playing Just got paid at High Voltage which was just the most amazing thing seeing him play onstage without any fancy staging or stage moves yet still being so watchable and most importantly: Listenable!! From there, i watched the full RAH video and loved every second! I heard Joe was coming to Blackpool but missed out on tickets and it was originally scheduled for late 2011 but Joe was ill i believe so it was rescheduled for April 2012 so i went on a mad hunt for tickets and secured the last three available for me and my parents and we were on the very back row of the theatre...Still a great view, excellent sound and the best gig i have ever been to...Beating: Def Leppard, Whitesnake, The Black Keys and Muse! That's the in depth explanation of how i became a Bonaholic! Wow Peter, only 10 minutes in and i've met a local big_smile great to meet you all

Welcome.  we really love having young fans like yourself post here.  show us some videos when you can of your playing.
Joe really is the best and this is a great place to share about gear, joe and other music.

My son is 25 and plays the guitar.  So I love to lurk in the gear section myself.

Don't worry about the spam posts. When you see one, report it and the mods will send it to the trash bin. Part of this popular site is it attracts them like flies to sugar. Enjoy the site.
