Topic: Oldie but Newbie

Hello to all !!
My name is Dave and I am from Wisconsin in the USA. This year is the twenty year anniversary of the release of my album. Shortly after, I cut off three finger tips from my left hand. This past February I started to re-learn guitar. My JBLP is my fifth guitar and the fourth Les Paul that I have purchased since then. It is so good to be back!!!!

Re: Oldie but Newbie

Sorry to hear about the accident but welcome. And good luck

Welcome to Bonamassaville! I too returned to playing guitar in 2010 after a long hiatus (25 years), discovered Joe and his music not long after.  Any pictures of your guitar harem to share?  wink

Hey there, really nice to meet you! and welcome to the forum... and i have to tell you something about cut-off fingers, Tony Iommi's fingers are too, and he's brilliant on the guitar!

Re: Oldie but Newbie

Welcome to the Forum!    Post often.   I understand what it means to have to re-start a part of yourself you thought was lost and that you were good at.

For 15 years I could not ride , and let's not even go into why, but for someone whose journey with horses started at age three, it was the hardest thing of my life.

All's well that ends well, and I am happy to say I can now ride 10 miles at a time and 45 minutes straight at a fast clip.

My training skills are coming back too.  No way to tell if I will ever regain all that was lost, but I suspect I will be better than that when all is said and done.

Finding Joe and his music was a big part of how I got on the trail back.   "Slow Train"  from the Beacon Theatre is my every morning song.

Keep us all posted on how things come along for you.  Nothing like the Power of Joe!!
