Topic: The morning commute...

Was listening to KZOK 102.5 on the way to work this morning. I leave the house around 5am so I typically don't hear much of the Bob Rivers show live (it starts at 6am) - but the radio station replays highlights from the previous day's show from 5am to 6am.

Much to my surprise Joe was in-studio yesterday. Surprising in that his show in Seattle isn't until Sept. 16th, and he has shows in CO, CA and OR between now and then. Joe was talking about a local Blues in the Schools presentation he was doing. Of course they also plugged his upcoming show and the new album, and talked about it debuting at #1.

Joe performed Ball Peen Hammer and Woke Up Dreaming. He was in great voice, and smokin' on the acoustic guitar. I swear Woke Up Dreaming gets faster and faster (and cleaner, if that's even possible) every time I hear it...

Re: The morning commute...

What a nice way to commute into work than listening to Joe.  I found the audio link for the show to listen to Joe.

Since 2010, Bonamassa fans have taken advantage of my JB friend discount = my cost + shipping. cool

Wow! I don't feel so bad now. 65 miles each way. I leave around 5am and get home about 6pm.

Re: The morning commute...

My commute into Chicago is about 45 miles and when I drive (I'm usually on the train) can range from an hour to two hours, depending on what time I leave (earlier is better).
I drove today and it took me Sloe Gin and half of Blues Deluxe.

Re: The morning commute...

Stu do you use the ferry to get to work? Joe is doin' some hop scotchin' on the tour so he can do some promo and blues in the schools stuff.

Re: The morning commute...

I rode a bicycle to work, when i lived in the bay area. Now that I'm out here in Sac town, it's 15 miles to work, 20 minutes to, and I hour to get home, bumper to bumper and I love it!! It's the best way for me to play my music as loud as I want, nobody to tell me to turn it down ( the wife! )

No, thankfully I don't have that hassle (and expense)...
