Topic: Mr. 3000

This here is my 3000th post on this fine forum, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to reflect. I joined April 22, 2006 on this forum, and I had joined the previous forum not too long before. I was just about to turn 20, I hadn't seen Joe live yet (and it was SUCH a tragedy! lol), I was getting ready to complete my freshman year of college (go Arkansas Tech!!!), and I was single (gloom, despair, and agony). 7 years later, I'm a college graduate with a job and a heck of a lot more responsibility. I've been lucky to have met the woman of my dreams and get married, and realize that marriage is way better than single life could ever be IF you find the right person. Oh, and I've been blessed to see Joe live 5 times. We can't forget that now can we? Man, a lot has changed!

But what hasn't changed is that I'm a fan of Joe's music, and I'm a fan of this forum. Members come and go, but the spirit that this place has continues to endure mostly unchanged. It's the people that make this so special. I've met several people on this forum, and I am glad to call many of them friends that have entered my life. Shoot, one of them even photographed my wedding (THANK YOU RHONDA!). After all, you have to be a friend to put up with a kid with a penchant for combative debating and long-winded posts. lol Thank you guys for making this a place I will want to come back to for many years to come. smile

Word. I still like to debate, but I've said my piece so many times everybody knows what I'm going to say anyway! lol So I just shut up.

Ah, the years and milestones go by. I've not been on as long as you, but post counts and such don't matter as much as content. Yours is always good stuff. All you say about this place is true. cool Watching my fellow fanatics move on in life is akin to watching my kids grow up. smile
Keep them coming Deezer.

Congrats Brother Deezer!

One of these days, the 4 of us need to hook up to see a Joe show for our birthday.
