Topic: 2nd Annual NY Guitar Show & Exposition: Gibson Bus

Gibson Bus To Appear At NY Guitar Show

The NY Guitar Show & Exposition excitedly announced the addition and appearance of the Gibson Bus for both days of the 2013 NY Guitar Show & Expositions coming April 27 & 28 to the Freeport Recreation Center.

A Gibson spokesperson said, “The Gibson Bus features interactive guitar stations that feature Gibson & Epiphone guitars, Gibson Pro Audio components and an “Amp Jam Room” that allows Gibson fans to experience an actual “rock star” tour bus.

Show founder/promoter Richard Johnson said, “Attendees of the NY Guitar Show can actually jam out in the Gibson Bus with friends, then go inside and check out the coolest Gibson & Epiphone products from local retail vendors or vintage dealers and go home with the same tone they found in the bus!”

Gibson added, “We know we’ve always had a strong Gibson base in the NY Metro/Tri-state region, but the Gibson Bus allows fans of other manufacturers to compare and see the quality Gibson and Epiphone proudly puts in to all their new and custom shop guitars & gear.”

Usually due to a syntax error on the c/p link. Use the preview function to get it right before posting. A space before and after the link is usually needed. i.e. http://www.nyguitarexpo.com/

Re: 2nd Annual NY Guitar Show & Exposition: Gibson Bus

The Most Authentic “New Old” Martins Ever.

Yes, Martin really does “make them like they used to.” With the help of the Smithsonian Institute’s highly advanced CAT scan machines, Martin’s guitar design team literally saw the past in high res images of vintage Martins from 1931, 1933, 1936, 1939, and 1941. In incredible detail, the images revealed numerous hidden features and subtle nuances in craftsmanship of these magnificent works of art built during Martin’s “golden era.”

At the NY Guitar Expo folks can expect a full array of brand new Martin models including the New Authentics and Retro Series, Custom Shop creations and Artist Signature models. A few very special Martin museum pieces will also be on display. Martin Gear and Strings will be raffled off hourly throughout the show. I’m very excited!

As a result, we can authentically replicate virtually every aspect of vintage construction – from minute differences in bridge plate thicknesses to unique neck and bracing pattern subtleties to the delicate hide glued cloth side reinforcement strips. All Martin Authentic Series guitars for 2013 feature thinner headstocks, fingerboards, bridge wings, and bridge plates. Solid pearl inlays are period correct in shape, size, dimension, and placement. We’ve also gone back to the original sound-hole sizes and positions, and milled the thicknesses of tops and backs to the old specs. No detail has been overlooked – including hide glue construction, early logo art treatment, and a dozen other authentic vintage features.

Like their historic namesakes, these Authentic instruments require a great deal of handwork, finesse, and painstaking attention to detail at every stage of construction and assembly. Five classic vintage models are being offered in limited quantities – the D-45S Authentic 1936 (14-fret), D-28 Authentic 1931 (12 fret), D-28 Authentic 1941 (14 fret), D-18 Authentic 1939 (14-fret) and OM-18 Authentic 1933. Re: 2nd Annual NY Guitar Show & Exposition: Gibson Bus

Not far from me. I will def be there. I have been on the Gibson bus before it is not to be missed. As matter of fact the last time it was in town my son won an Epiphone Flying Vee from the music store hosting the event, very cool. Hey Gibson how about a 57 Black Beauty raffle in Freeport? See you in April and looking forward to it. That info on Martin Guitars has me stoked.
