Lets Go Mets!
Hammer is unusually quiet this year. Braves got some good pitching and a great comeback win on Friday. Maholm's ERA is still at 0.00, and I guess everybody knows now who Evan Gattis is. El Oso Blanco!!! GO BRAVOS
Nice to be back and have some baseball news.
Brooms out last night with a road sweep of the Dodgers ! Chase Headley returns from the dl where he's been since preseason with a fractured fingertip, so things are looking up. He is our best player.
No resolution of the blackout by my cable provider. They are fired! I'm getting a satellite hookup as soon as I get back from seeing Joe in Vegas!

We could just go to the games...
El sucko on the blackout. Very disgusting. There are a LOT of people who cannot get out to games. Hell, when I could watch the replay at 3 in the morning before it was sweet. I am getting sick of the filthy rich **anothercensoredword* of this world. They can go #### themselves. I slam the Padres a lot, Rick, but you know, it is usually reserved, and well deserved. I DO like them. Chase Headley is a very good and equally likeable player. A lot rides on him, so hopefully he stays healthy for the remainder of the year.
Rock ON & Keep the Faith,
Rocket
Yes Rocket, we could go to the games and I do on occasion, but the price of taking the wife to a game with the attendant parking, chow and other overhead exceeds the price of seeing Joe.
Agreed on the greed. I had entertained hopes that the new ownership would make a difference in the impasse. My patience has hit the wall. (Maybe because they moved it in?)
I gotta keep my priorities in order.
Rick
El Oso Blanco with the game winning pinch hit 2 run homer, outstanding! Justin Upton had another huge blast last night as well, but the other guy that came to us from Arizona in the deal for Martin Prado was Chris Johnson. Man can this guy hit, now up around .450 and he had a 2 run homer last night and went 3-4 batting cleanup for the Braves.
On a down note, I hate to complain about umps this early in the year but if you have a game where Doug Eddings is behind the plate then expect the worst. His strike zone Wed vs KC was terrible, he really favored the Royal's pitcher and made a lot of bad calls. just saying, look out for him.

I'm somewhat lucky with Mets. You can get seats for about $20 and take mass transit.
Great to see my A's getting off to a great start.
Last year was so exciting! Got me listening to the games at work, when and if I can.
LUV IT!

All those years of watching Maddux, Glavine, and Smoltz get strikes called on balls 6 inches off the ground and a foot off the plate, and NOW you're upset?
The Nats great start quickly turned to bovine ploppy, though Harper continues to fire on all cylinders. The starters, Strasburg in particular, are going to have to get their act together if they hope to stop the Braves from walking off with the division.

Strasburg doesn't seem to be the pitcher of last year although he ran into a Met pitcher (Harvey) who is pitching like he's Cy Young so far this year. And today (not that I'm questioning it) when they had two on and a 3-0 count let the Met pitcher off the hook with a DP.
Please, dear Lord, if you could manage to let the Royals hang on to first place until at least May 1st, that'd be swell. I know it's too good to last, but every team in baseball has been in the playoffs since the last time we made it (and it isn't even a close race, Pirates fans: http://tinyurl.com/c55zdz8), so...could you at least throw us a bone, Lord?
touche' there coach. However, this was an ongoing game long thing where he just had a "floating" zone that was impossible to decipher. Those 3 certainly did get their fair share of strikes on bad calls back in the years.

Go A's Go
Celebrate 2 Balks come On!
Really needed this one.

Talk about great starts - what's Atlanta been doing in Spring training?
well, spring hasn't sprung in Colorado. The coldest game on record I believe they said, yesterday afternoon was in the mid 20's but it "warmed" up to the low 30's for the night game. BASH BROTHERS and others conributing on long balls plus some great pitching from Mike Minor and Julio Teheran. It could be better, we just lost 3 at Pittsburgh.

Looks a similar situation for the Twins; however, looks like the weather is going to pick up for their home series against Rangers starting tomorrow. At least Twins have managed a better start that last year (still 3 games to make-up though).
Ummmm. Hey guys, I'm back now... these records you are approaching are all the wrong kind.
Sheesh the Friars are bad! This is going to be a looooong season. We're talking a 120 losses rate here.
