Topic: JOE AD CAMPAIGN HITS SF AIRWAVES/SEND AN EQUEST

KFOG in SF is now plugging Joe's show at The Palace Of Fine Arts Sept. 20th. They are also conducting contests to win pairs of tix which I can confirm since I won the first pair @ 6:45 AM because some woman that called couldn't name James Brown as another famous JB. The question, who is the godfather of soul? C,mon now!!!!! I want to reconfirm Joe will be in studio the morning of the 18th sometime between 6 & 10 AM PST. You can listen in @ kfog.com andyou can make an e-quest by going to their website and search eRequest, I think you guys know who to ask for. Ticket sales have picked up so if you don't have some yet you'd better GIT-R-DONE ASAP. Shred & I will see all of you Norcal fans at the show, just look for the two guys proppin' each other up in the lobby.

FINALLY!

What song did they play?

Edited to add:  I heard the commercial for the concert!  It's great EXCEPT THEY GOT THE DAY WRONG!  They said it's Friday, Sept. 20, and it's a Thursday!  I called up the station, and they've told me they will notify promotions about it.

Re: JOE AD CAMPAIGN HITS SF AIRWAVES/SEND AN EQUEST

I haven't heard a song yet, but they just ran an ad for the show and Crosby Loggins is playing with Joe. The day started on such a high note winning a pair of tix and hearing Joe's name coming up on air, then WHAM!!! I get the news that Hughie Thomasson died last night. I'm still in a state of shock over this news. Anybody that follows southern rock knows Hughie was one of the very best guitar players to rise out of the south. I'll wear my Outlaws reunion t-shirt today in his memory.

The South Is Gonna Do It Again, and Again,

                                                                                J Dawg

There goes another love song, someone singin' about me again...............Hughie T.
