Topic: BonaVegas

As good a show as I've ever heard from Joe and the  band! Joe came out in a white suit and joked about it being the only place he could wear it.
Set List
Acoustic set. (they played this directly in front of me, I have it all on vid from as close as it gets.)

Seagull
Jelly Roll
Jockey Full of Bourbon
Athens to Athens
Woke Up Dreaming

intermission

Electric set

Slow Train
Dust Bowl
Dislocated Boy
Driving Towards The Daylight
Who's Been Talking
Django
Mountain Time
Young Mans Blues
Yonders Wall
Ballad of John Henry

encore

Sloe Gin
Just Got Paid

A set list of dreams. What a night!
I have some video coming. Joe was playing in my lap all night. JGP had me shooting from his feet, elbows on the stage!  big_smile
Our one month road trip ends, and what an end it was!
Rick
edit: A"new departure. Security issued special wristbands to those of us in the front row and told us we were the only ones that would be allowed to go to the stage edge on the encore. It was enforced.
Rocket, I have a special bottle of private label BonaVegas wine for you from RikEmmetFan, signed by Joe. I'll be in touch.

Re: BonaVegas

Rick, you forgot Driving Towards the Daylight. It was after Dislocated Boy. As I said on the first page under bonavegas cocktail party thread, what an awesome show! Joe said at one point that maybe he should do this every year here. We all heartily agreed! So great to see them having so much fun. Still listening to the recording Phil made, don't want it to stop but need to get to sleep.

Re: BonaVegas

It was a fantastic show tonight, but every Joe show is smile
So glad to see Arlan in the band. The guys just fed off each other and supported one another. It was electric.
Also it was a great hang with the BonaPeeps.
Can't wait until next time!
Cheers Y'all

Did enjoy it two times , thanks for posting, Rick!
Epic Dustbowl version with the elegant "gogoboybass" Carmine dancing on the right. Joe completely in white - a dream!
If his option to do this next year again will come true, we`ll be there in Vegas flying in from Frankfurt across the pond. No way too far for such a legend... Love your music, Joe!
You are always with us in our life and in our minds.

Never been to Vegas but this would be as good a reason as it gets if he plays there again.

Re: BonaVegas

Thanks for the great video RickB. Great quality all round. Wish I had been there. big_smile

Come on the Blades (sorry Idolbone just had to borrow your line)

Re: BonaVegas

Amazing Ballad of John Henry! Perfect spot for doing video. Front row, to the left of Joe!

Re: BonaVegas

Great view from your side Natasha!
The Bonaglow continues as we wind down. I went down to the casino for coffee early this morning and ran into a dozen fans that recognized me or the JoeB tee and stopped to chat and relive the fantastic BonaVegas experience.

Thank you Rick & Natasha!

Wow wow wow what a solo from Joe on this one!  Arlan wasn't too shabby either.  So good.

Re: BonaVegas

Young Man Blues into Look Over Yonders Wall. When Tal had his drum solo, Joe changed guitars. He finished up Young Man Blues with the red one and then went right into Look Over Yonders Wall. Amazing back and forth with Arlan on Yonders Wall!

Re: BonaVegas

Wow, that suit is white!

May 18 will not get here soon enough for me, but these vids do help, sorta.

Clearly it will not be a problem for me to bring my little video camera to the Beacon!  Thanks so much for posting such great videos.  I will need my zoom to get such great shots.

Re: BonaVegas

An epic show and Joe rocked the white suit.

It was wonderful to actually meet other Joe fans and to make some new friendships that I'm sure will last a long time.

I'll work on getting some pictures posted once I return home.

Re: BonaVegas

Hi All
What a weekend in Vegas it was awesome. We had the cocktail party with Joe Thursday. Many forum members got together at the Loose Caboose what a great time. I got the chance to meet many new people that I had only talked too on the forum. It was great to meet you all. I hope to do this again next year. Cheers Ron

Looks like he's shuffling set lists every night and there are three shows at the Beacon. Only way to go is all three shows if you can!

Mountain Time;

Very pleased with how this one came out. Up close and clear. The black Dark Lord guitar looks so good against the white of Joe's suit. In fact all the guitars looked gorgeous against the white. Loved the color contrast of the white, guitars and background lighting. Stunning!

Re: BonaVegas

I believe the Tascam microphone has worked well once again. Listened to the Bonavegas audio through the car's soundsystem and iphone and the sound quality was really good. Will see how it is once it is uploaded and burned onto cds. Pretty psyched! Here is a picture of the device I fashioned so Phil could hold it more easily and that Joe wrote on and signed.
