Re: Northern California shows

Hey Shred:

Nice to see Joe and the Boys back on the West Coast.

I would love to take in some of the N. Cal shows with you guys, but will have to wait till the Grants Pass show to catch them. They are playin the Rogue Theater. Is is an older theater that seems to have a nice sound.
Deb and I saw Billy Bob Thortons band there a couple of weeks back.

Excited to see the new line-up and new tunes since the last Oregon swing. Should have several friends along for the Bonabaptism's.

Have a great time.

Re: Northern California shows

Workin' "The Streets of San Francisco" and Sonoma, Shred. I'll be there with my wife and 6 work friends. I'll be working right across the street from the theater that day and plan on heading over there during load in to say hi to Joe and the boys.

LisaG brings up a great point and maybe this is another topic but KFOG, the station that is thanked in Joes' liner notes with every new release, neeeeeeeeeever plays Joe. As a matter of fact Joes' show at the Palace of Fine Arts in S.F. wasnt even on their upcoming concert list until I sent them an email about 2 weeks ago.

I request Joe constantly on KFOG via email and phone and nothing. So much for "World Class Music".

It also bothers me that if you visit the "City Tickets" web site you can see how many tickets are sold for the S.F. show and it  looks like the venue is only half sold out. Come on Bay Area Joe fans, guitar fans and just good music fans in general get your tickets now. Anything short of a a sell out in San Francisco will be a dissapointment in my book. Of course there is ZERO promotion which I guess is the fault of J&R Adventures.

One cool thing to mention I was walking past the guitar shop in Sonoma where I live (Sonoma Valley Music) the other day and noticed they had a poster in the window of the Sloe Gin cover and had written on it the info for the upcoming show in S.F.. Good Job SVM.

Re: Northern California shows

Joe will be in studio on KFOG on the 18th on the morning show and then he's doin' a Blues in The School's appearence at James Lick Middle School followed by an in store CD signing at FYE in Daly City at 12 noon. Try to make it to the signing if you can. KFOG does play Joe, but you have to prod them a little. Big Rick Stewart in the afternoon is your best bet. Daly City??????????? yeah I know that's a real hard core bluesrock market if you sing it in Tagalog.

Re: Northern California shows

I just emailed the Palace of Fine Arts in SF to see their picture/recording policy for those interested.  Their response:

Non-flash pictures are OK - No recordings are allowed.

Hey Shred...

Yeah that sounds cool...
I'll have two 14 yearold girls hanging on me (my twin daughters!) and I'll go ahead and say for all of you now, Yes I am the guy who ordered the FIRST JB Signature Category 5 amp(head only) from Don Ritter.
Don will be with Joe this weekend in Telluride and he's gonna put a bug in Joes ear about my being there with my daughters who by the way are dying to meet the man (its their B-Day present and I'm hopin Joe will make it special for them and allow them backstage for a quick photo and maybe sign my Strat pick guard while we're at it (I know, how selfish huh!)

Anyway, I'm kind of a long haired dude, might have my girlfriend with me too, she's sitting behind me in the D row(I'm in C) and right now we ain't talkin so I don't know. Anyhow, shes blonde and really beautiful and I love her but she doesn't think it so what can I say~

If you read this Deb, I love you...

OK enough...hope to see ya all and have a great time if not...Tim

CURRENTLY: CAT5 JB PLEXI 50W, CAT5 1900 50W, Split 4x12 cab.

Re: Northern California shows

I was out on the route yesterday, pull up to a business that is only open on occasions. I look at the door, there is a note large note on it, looked like this:

   Who?     JOE BONAMASSA

   Where?     STATE THEATER

                   MODESTO

   When?      SEPT. 28

Me and a friend got our tickets

  "AND I CANT WAIT! "

The guy that runs the shop has been hearing about Joe since last Oct, when I discovered him. He blew me off, guess he got tired of hearing about him I guess. Well that all changed when he heard Joe on the radio ( the Mark and Brian show ). I smiled and said " I'm bring you a dvd to watch, it's a live show from Germany". He saw Rockpalast, and got his doors blown off! I'll see him at the show.
