I hope whomever eventually buys this knows that there is no such thing as a "Joe Bonamassa model Gigliotti".  I spoke to both Joe and Patrick about this when I ordered mine.  And for about $300more, the buyer can call Patrick and spec out a new one.

Bonaburst #18, JB Epi #191, MusicMan Darklord, LP Cherryburst Traditional Plus, Gigliotti GT, Takamine, Takamine 12 string, Martin D-28 & GPCPA1, Fender Amer STD Strat, Fender Custom Shop Gold Metalflake, Custom "OSU" Wagner Tele, Gibson SG Limited Govt Model, Jim Kelly Combo

Joe's signature was on many of the first Gigliotti guitars. I don't know if that makes a signature model or not. Joe asked Patrick to make him one in Mahogany Tobacco Burst finish. The original one had a Tele head stock. and a 21 frett neck. When Patrick had to change the head stock because Fender insisted then he made the current head stock with a 22 fret neck. That was Joe's signature model to my understanding. Maybe Joe never considered it one but he did agree to his signature on the GT's The original Gigliotti Anthony Gomes had actually had a Joe Bonamassa signature on it. I know. I saw it. Now if Patrick could still make and sell the original prototype that Joe had then I'm pretty sure Joe wouldn't mind calling it his signature. The guitars Patrick makes now are great guitars and I'm not sure of the price. The one pictured for sale is not what I would consider a signature model because of the finish among other things. Patrick has always customized each guitar specifically for the buyer.

I'm only going by what Joe told me.  Before talking to Joe, I asked Patrick if I could have bonamassa signature model.  Patrick told me he'd have to ask Joe, but he still had a couple of the necks with Joe's signature and the stickers.  We attended Joe's show in Louisville where I asked him if there was a "signature model"..... and he told me "none that I authorized".  This was also the time when there was a Gigliotti "Bonamassa signature model" on eBay that was pictured with a magazine article about the guitar.  I even asked Joe about that very guitar.  My only point in bringing it up is I don't think it's fair for someone to be mislead....and I'm not even saying the person selling the guitar is purposefully misleading anyone.

I can only guess he meant in the present tense. I would say the one in this discussion is not even if it had a neck with signature. Both Patrick and Joe would know much more than me about them but I will admit to knowing enough to make me dangerous. wink
