If G Mac blows this shot we could see Tiger Phil tomorrow!
Beautiful lag putt by G Mac to par 18 and earn a spot in the final with Tiger. Phil made a gorgeous attempt at 18 to finish his round.
Just as well. Phil has made no bones about not liking Tiger. Big lead will be hard to break unless Tiger blows it. I think they're playing for 2nd.

Nothing as bad as when they were paired on the Ryder Cup. I don't even know the full story although I do remember Phil's comment about "imagine how good Tiger would be if he played good clubs" I doubt Tiger has regretted playing Nike clubs nor them for sponsoring him. Then again the clubs good pros use bear no relation to what you and I play.

I looked online and they claim Phil thinks Tiger plays slow on purpose. Tiger seems to not like Phil's "opinionated loud mouth" although he defended his comments about California's taxes.
Rory had a nice final round. Papers in NY got it right "the ones who say he hasn't won a major in years" are the only ones thinking Tiger isn't the favorite to win any tournament he enters now.
the Tampa Bay Championship is underway at the Copperhead course @ Innisbrook. Think I see why they named it after a poisonous snake, it is baring some fangs today I tell you. The low score in the clubhouse is 3 under, and I just counted 43 players that have already finished at even par, or worse. You will have to see #16 for yourself to believe it, be left sister!
There are many notable names on the board who have not teed off yet. Tiger, Phil, Bubba and Rory have decided to skip this one.that number at even par or worse is now up to 63.
Only 26 under par now. Wow
the tournament at Bay Hill starts today, should be a loaded field and Tiger loves this course. He should be near the top come Sunday, there I've officially cursed him. It is a beautiful Arnold Palmer course and plays tough with a lot of water. It is one of my favs to play on the PS3. They should be on the course now, Golf Channel should have it on pretty much all day. Fore!
Tiger teed off at 8 and is two under from what I see, three shots back. Arnold blasted McElroy for not playing after he expected him to. A good weekend of golf to come
Tiger tied for the lead after trailing by five in this round
And ends up with a two shot lead. Lets see what Rickie is made of.
Tiger holds on to take Arnie's Bay Hill tournament and back to the #1 player in the world, for the 264th week in his career. I can't wait to see what he does at The Masters, or doesn't do. This is downright crazy here, I've seen it all now. Of course he had to use his trusty "tree" iron. Sorry for Sergio, he had to withdraw due to physical ailments but has been playing really well this year.
I was fortunate - or unfortunate - to be home and see the whole round. I thought Rickie had a chance before he hit that shot in the water. The interview after was telling - Tiger saying HE thought he was "back" but others will judge him on majors wins. The hug from Arnie was touching. No matter what Tiger has shown proper respect to Arnie and Jack and their records.
I'm so psyched. That kid who played with Tiger yesterday is amazing. Can you imagine walking up to him and asking to play? My partner loves Rory (she's from England) but his actions this year worry me. Walking off a course with a "tooth ache"? And his comments on Sunday having fallen short to a golfer who shot a -9 on Sunday surprised me. He didn't seem mad at his two "average" rounds.
I just found out there is now a lottery for individual tickets so hoping to score for next year. We've been to a few US Opens, Barclays and a PGA in Ohio but the Masters would be nice to see. Combine that trip with a visit to the Big House in Macon!
Looking forward to it. Going over to my golf course tomorrow and turning on the water in the club house and having a little get together and getting the Masters pool going. I have put in for tickets the last few years, you can put in for 4, never had any luck.
Today would have been Seve's 56th birthday.

Hey - we'll try. Back in the days of going to US Opens just on the last Sunday a few times although we now buy the entire strip. Already have this years ordered; just waiting for the badges. We will also try for The Open next year over the pond.
I keep putting in and hoping. Been to a few Opens and a couple of PGA Championships, waiting for something to come close again.

Are you going to the US in PA this year? We're going I think Wednesday to the Monday after.

It looks like the next closest one is in a couple of years at Whistling Straits then Erin Hills. I have played The Straits a few times and it's a great track.
Nice. We'll skip Pinehurst next year but are thing of Tacoma in two years. Looks like a great venue
