Saw that tour in 85 in Montréal with Vivian Campbell on guitar. Still is one of my all time favorite gig I attended. That whole Medieval concept was outta this world for the time (remember it was almost 30 years ago.)

Re: "New" Dio-Dvd to be released

I watched a mid-80s Dio concert on Youtube not too long ago, and the set blew me away.  I've never seen anything like it (I was 12 in 1985 so didn't get into metal for another couple years, let alone get out to conccerts).  Seems like pop acts will do that kind of big stage set, but not for decades in rock & metal.  Maybe I just haven't gotten out enough...

Really!? a new DVD?! do you guys think i'll reach Jordan once it's out?! it has to. IT JUST HAS TOO!!!! DIO is my life...

Blackmore's Rainbow opened up for REO Speedwagon (back when they were a rock band) at my second ever concert in early 1978.  I didn't know any Rainbow songs at the time.  I only knew Blackmore from his DP days.  Ronnie James Dio absolutely BLEW ME AWAY.  How did that kind of power and range come out of that little body?  Fan for life.

Yeah i totally agree, Rainbow was definitely at it's BEST with DIO! Ritchie lost big time when Dio left Rainbow!

That sounds like a "must see" to me, too. I think I went to a Dio show in the mid-80s but I'm too lazy to sift through the ticket stubs to make sure. LOTS going on back then...
