Topic: Thanks Friends! Joe too!

4 gigs in London. Joe you were EPIC! Words fail at the moment. This experience will take some time to fully absorb. More on that later.

I and Helen would like to give our sincerest BonaLove and thanks to the UK fans for the awesome hospitality extended to us and  all the fans that traveled from far and wide for this series. We are tired from 6 days of gigs, pre/post and otherwise hangs and pub crawls, but it it is a very happy tired. Getting to meet and have personal contact with people that were only names on this board until now was the best part. Yes, Joe smoked us all and that was what we came for, but it ended up being so much more than the sum of its parts.

Re: Thanks Friends! Joe too!

Thanks Pete and Rick and everyone else for their videos and reviews. To get so many videos up so quickly for us to enjoy required alot of time and energy and it was so kind of you all to do it.  It really helped us feel like we were there.

Re: Thanks Friends! Joe too!

Thank you to all the bonabuds who wrote reviews, posted photos and videos.  Those of us that did not attend managed to survive missing this epic event because of your posts here and on facebook.

Major hugs go to Pete and Rick on the forum( those videos from boderline alone give you rock star status in my world) and Jurgen and Gio and Jonny on FB(  You guys gave us your honest thoughts and feelings) Made me realize I am not alone in my love of all things Joe.

Last to our fealess leader, Joe Bonamassa, You have once again shown us why we support you and your music.  I always say to myself, what else could he do to top this and then you go and do something unexpected.  Forgive me for putting you in a box. Joe, you have a heart of gold for us the fans.  We are the luckiest bunch of folks in the world.

Go ahead Pete, adopt me! You have to share with George and Cathy though, haha ... wink

What a joy it was to see you all in person again....it all went by so fast as usual, but there's some great memories added to the story. I love how it's always like we've all never been apart when everyone meets again after a year or more. I will miss you all!

Until the next time...
Eva

Re: Thanks Friends! Joe too!

It was a wonderful week meeting up with old friends and new.  When I went to the first RAH gig I was a stranger in a strange land.  I left England that time with a whole bunch of new friends, it was literally a life changing experience.  Since then I have traveled to many place in the States, and this was my third trip back to London since 2009 - I guess I am now a "local" - lol.  My trips over here are planned around when Joe is playing here, but just as importantly they are a chance to see all my friends.  They make the whole experience so special, not to mention their being right there to get tickets for shows (great not to have to get up at 4am when tickets go on sale), opening their homes to me.  The world wide Bonaclan is amazing.

Thank you to Joe - you are the one who has such special people as fans.  The three shows we saw were amazing - hope you have "recovered" - I have never seen you as spent as you were at the end of Saturday's show.  See you in May.

"There's a lot of people that are in so much of a hurry to be, I guess, to be famous or that they don't want to take the time to learn to play and do all that. They'd rather just knock it down off a computer and maybe get on a game show and get famous..That's fine if that's what you want to do.

Re: Thanks Friends! Joe too!

Amen to all!! Not being there was really hard, especially after being there for the first RAH, but all who were there made it easier.  Posts, pics, video clips, all in a timely manner, were SUCH a big deal to those not in attendance. Thanks to you all and a huge thanks to Joe for allowing films. Maybe it's to keep us from hounding Caveman for the DVD's smile

Cathy, you are so right, Joe,s liberal policy makes it easier for those of us who only get to see him once or twice a year.  This makes me most willing to buy all his releases and merchandise. Win win
