Topic: Article in local paper promoting the Surf Ballroom show

Here's a link to a cool pre-show article and interview with Joe.  Good publicity for the show Saturday night in Clear Lake and an interesting interview with Joe.  I can't wait for Saturday (and tonight in Apple Valley)!

Good article, especially interesting was the quote by Joe:

As for originals, Bonamassa admits he’s not a lyric man.

“The best songs I’ve ever been involved with were the ones that somebody else wrote the lyrics. I never will be Bob Dylan.”

An exception is “Richmond” on the “Sloe Gin” CD.

“To have that song so well-received has actually been a confidence builder for me. The worst thing in the world is to write a bad song that people make fun of. I’m just so honestly sensitive about that. That’s why I don’t write many songs.”

Seems that Joe underestimates himself, he has written some great songs.

Looks like tickets are still available for this show at the Surf...

Music is good for the Soul...

You have to click on the little "Audio" cassette to hear the entire interview with Joe.   He talks about individual songs from the album and his thoughts that went into the making of "Sloe Gin".  He talks about his future cds and much more.  It's pretty interesting.

Thanks dude for the link. Nice article. It may be a little late to say this but it sounds like you'll be in Apple Valley tonight. I'll be right down in row A with my street team shirt on in case you see this in time.
