Interesting that there are songs from a wider range of Joe's career than I would have expected, not just older stuff. I think "Spanish Boots" is the only song Joe has not played live before (at least to my knowledge). That, and "Don't Burn Down That Bridge" are the only two songs I have not heard Joe perform, so on a personal level I didn't miss much tongue .

Re: The Borderline

Can't wait to see the videos! So glad Pete and Rick are both there to provide us with footage of these events!

Yes, Lee, same for me, one less, as for me Spanish Boots is the only song I've missed from Joe live.  All the others several times, like you.  But, as far as setlists go, that is a near perfect selection and sequence, in my opinion.  I have zero doubts about the musicianship of all!!! wink

We sure feel glad Londoners finally arrive on the scene, a dot late perhaps, but first to apply the crown of star power to Joe Bonamassa

Re: The Borderline

It was crazy good! I never had seen most of the songs played live. I was told by those in the know that were present that it was a definitive performance. Blues Deluxe was called "Best Ever!"
Who am I to argue. Maggie was in tears.
Floating on a cloud of bliss. It was worth the price.
Rick
Edit: Story of a Quarryman was played twice, it was also played as the first encore for a probable video retake. I have  P&S processed and going up now since I figure you all want that first. I think Blues Deluxe or The River straight into Burning Hell was better, but that is just me. I had Joe right in front of me all night from 5 feet and I got 100% of the show. Hotel inet is pretty bad so cross your fingers and watch my channel for success. I might still be awake but it is 130 am. The uploader says 2 hours from now. hmm

Re: The Borderline

Can't wait to see it all. Love when he would do The River into Burning Hell! Nothing more frustrating than slow internet smile

Thanks Rick. Just talked to Michael and gang. I think they feel the same about the songs as you. Sounds like it was a magical night and best, all the Bonabuddies were front and center. smile But, the highlight moment for me is Joe putting the one and only pick he used into Patty's hand!!! That's why he's loved! wink

Hearing that Joe gave the nights pick to Patty just put a real big smile on my face after a VERY long day!
