Hey Lee, where can I find the new Jim Suhler cd with Deep Water Lullaby on it?  I can't seem to find it on Amazon or iTunes.  Odd because other stuff by JS is on iTunes.

Good question. We saw Jim and Monkey Beat earlier this summer in Minneapolis and bought "Tijuana Bible" (the CD from which that song is on) at their show. I haven't checked their website lately and maybe they have more info there. The whole CD is incredible. Easily the best CD I've purchased this year next to "Sloe Gin". Definitely worth seeking out!

Re: Beautifull songs that you really want others to hear

I'm not really sure what you meant by beautiful songs Jan, but here is a list from way back down  memory lane of songs that I think are beautiful in some way. This is a list most of the old timers here will remember with fondness, and for all of you youngsters out there give these a listen if you haven't heard the songs before.

The Beatles......"Yesterday"

The Rolling Stones......"As Tears Go By"

The Mamas and Papas...."California Dreamin"

Janis Joplin....."Summertime"

Jefferson Airplane...."Triad" and "Lather"

Blind Faith...."In The Presence Of The Lord"

Traffic...."John Barleycorn Must Die" and "Dear Mr. Fantasy"

The Byrds...."Eight Miles High"

Elton John...."Madman Across The Water"

Bob Dylan...."Lay Lady Lay"

Moody Blues...."Are You Sitting Comfortably" and "Out And In"

Jefferson Starship...."Jane"

Spirit...."When I Touch You"

Journey..."Lights"

Styx...."Lady"

Fever Tree...."San Francisco Girls"

Eagles...."Seven Bridges Road"

James Gang...."Garden Gate" and "Ashes The Rain and I"

Neil Young...."Don't Let It Bring You Down"

Heart...."Dog And Butterfly" and "Dreamboat Annie"

Long John Baldry....Let's Burn Down The Cornfield"

Emerson, Lake, And Palmer...."From The Beginning"

Melanie...."Candles In The Rain"

King Crimson.... "Epitaph"

Susan Tedeschi...."In The Garden"

Steve Miller Band...."Motherless Children" and "Winter Time"

Led Zeppelin...."The Battle Of Nevermore"

James Taylor..."Fire And Rain"

Pink Floyd...."Echoes"

Jade Warrior...."A Winter's Tale"

Yes...."Close To The Edge"

It's A Beautiful Day...."Girl With No Eyes"

Pure Prairie League...."Falling In And Out Of Love/Amie"

Quicksilver Messenger Service..."Just For Love"

Steppenwolf...."Desperation"

Joe Bonamassa...."Richmond"

All right, that ought to keep all of you busy for a while trying to find the songs on this list except for the last one. I've seen twenty of the 36 groups/artists listed here, wish I could have seen them all.

The first beautiful songs that comes to mind is
A Song for You - Leon Russell
Mascquerarde - Leon Russell (made popular by George Benson)

"Listen to the melody cause my love is in there hiding"
