Re: Beautifull songs that you really want others to hear

One album that has stuck with me over the years, specifically since 1973 is,
Buckingham Nicks (Lindsey Buckingham & Stevie Nicks) ..... beautiful, brooding,powerful............
I don't believe it ever came out on CD......vinyl only (maybe cassette?)

Another beautiful song  "White Bird" from It's A Beautiful Day" (1969).

These are what comes to mind for me at this moment.......  ENJOY CHECKING THEM OUT!

"White Bird" is exactly what I was going to say. Great minds think alike. It's one of the most beautiful rock songs I've ever heard.

I'm just saying.

Re: Beautifull songs that you really want others to hear

"Asking Around for You" (you know who)
"Desperado" (Eagles)
"On my Own" (Les Miserables Soundtrack...yes, I said it...Les Miz!)
"Queen of Hearts" (Gregg Allman)...that would be another great cover for Joe!

I took the "beautiful" comment literally, as you can see. Others to follow.

Thanks Andre. I think Jan said she has it already.

excuse me?? who is talking about a She.. last time i checked i was still a He tongue...

I know in englisch it's used for a She.. but in dutch it's for a He (you also speak it diferently)

Never seen the movie EuroTrip? where that guy is talking over the internet to another "guy" called Mike.. and he has a picture of him with his cousin Jan.. until his little brother tells him it isn't Mike.. it's "mieke" and that that is a girls name.. and Jan is a boy's name.

but okej i wont blame you becouse you couldn't have known it if you dont know how to pronounce it in a dutch/deutch way tongue

EDIT: now i think about it.. you prenounce it like John.. you must have seen Robin Hood, with Little John. In dutch he is called Kleine Jan. (you say the A like in what)

Re: Beautifull songs that you really want others to hear

From the i-pod and in my usual run-on sentence still a current sample of "pretty" songs...."Brothers in Arms"/ Dire Straits.."The Turning Away"/Pink Floyd.."Behind the Veil & Two Rivers"/ Jeff Beck....Live "Sofa"/ Frank Zappa ( yeah Andre).."Sacrifice"/Elton John...."One"/U2 ..."Avalon"/Roxy Music..."Have You Ever Loved a Women"/Aynsley Lister....Again these are the current "pretty" songs and not including the J.B. ones that would need their own thread.........                     Cathy

Re: Beautifull songs that you really want others to hear

Okay, how about:

-- Dream Theater -- As I Am and This Dying Soul off of "Train of Thought" (if you're into a sort of metal/prog rock sound).

-- Bloodline -- Calling Me Back.

-- Gov't Mule -- Perfect Shelter off of Deja Voodoo, Brand New Angel and Child of the Earth off of High & Mighty, Worried Down With the Blues and Beautifully Broken off of The Deep End (Volume 1).

-- Jim Suhler & Monkey Beat -- Bad News and Graveyard Train off of Shake.

--Jimmy Thackery -- Detroit Iron.

--Michael Katon -- Boogified

--Miles Davis -- Ah-Leu-Cha off of Round About Midnight.

--Philip Sayce -- Powerful Thing and Blood On Your Hands off of Peace Machine.

--Robben Ford -- Moonchild Blues (from Truth), Rugged Road (from Handful of Blues), and Worried Life Blues (off of Mystic Mile).

--Wynton Marsalis -- The Party's Over and Glad To Be Unhappy (from Std Time Volume 5: The Midnight Blues).

-- Back Door Slam -- Heavy On My Mind and Stay off of Roll Away.

Sorry, but once I started I couldn't stop.  Edited to add, these aren't exactly "pretty" songs, but ones that I like that several are a bit obscure.
