Re: Auditorium Theater - Rochester, NY 2012-11-16

Thanks jbIII for bringing your photos over here to share.  I honestly can't say that I will miss jbxp, but so many great pictures were posted there over the time it was active and it would be a shame if that very special Joe archive got lost.  Glad to see you bringing your archive over here.

Thanks Sandra and Rick! I was wondering if anyone was going to look at them, much less comment wink

I am happy to be able to share the fruits of my labors with everyone here.

To all who view my pictures, if you see anything you like, I am more than willing to send copies of the originals to you for your personal use - just email or PM me with your requests.

I am still trying to work with J&R on getting the pictures from JBXP online if possible so that everyone can enjoy those too. I agree it would be a shame to lose all of them.

jlb, thoroughly enjoyed these.  I felt like I was at the show!  Especially liked the one with the light rays coming out of Carmine's head - did he just become a saint??

More, more!  Thank you.

Glad you enjoyed them Natasha! Hope you enjoy the pics that I posted from the other shows too - its so hard to pick which ones I think are best, guess I just love them all smile I even found some pics from an older Rochester, NY show that I had forgotten about so I will get those online when I can.

Glad you liked them Sally!

Some shots do come out in unexpected ways like the one of Carmine. Ahh... the joys of photography - each picture is like unwrapping a present smile

Unfortunately, no shows for me this year sad In addition to the pics for the Syracuse and Buffalo shows I already posted, I will be adding more pics to the Ithaca show (I took 2200 so still sorting those out) and I have some from 2010 Rochester that I will get online as well.

I looked at the other ones, too, and they are all wonderful. I think because you put so many up at once, that everyone decided to only post comments in one spot. When you have so many good ones, I don't know how you can weed any out. Back in the days of film we had to be more sparing and careful with what image before us we would capture and keep. Now we are much more free to take as many as we want.

Great observations Natasha and you are probably right about the comments. I remember the days of film cameras and how conservative one had to be in how many shots to take smile Weeding out the out of focus ones is easy - lol -  its the others that are so hard to pick through. I've often thought of having others do that for me since its easy to be biased by your own work.

I like that fact that digital photography has spurred more people to share images they otherwise would have not. Some of my favorite photos have been from amateurs like me smile
