Topic: Reports of my demise

...were greatly exaggerated! wink

I thought I'd put up a post to explain my recent disappearance, which was, after all, a bit unusual in view of my posting history here. I felt like I wanted a break from forums for a while, except for the one where I'm a mod (which I kept a casual eye on). What  happened then wasn't really part of the plan. I 'fell into' a discussion page on FB (Mike knows where it is) which wound up consuming all the time I thought I would have to spend on other things. :bhw

So, without further ado, I'm back. tongue

Yep...I knew you were still around.  I would like to participate more in that realm which shall not be named here, but FB is blocked at work and I got other stuff to do when i get home so i mostly troll on my phone

Now the truth comes out. Reestablishing relations to beg for Grape Jelly! Hammer swears it is nonexistent in Holland.  Ya got it my friend. One more item added to a suitcase of care package items for the poor folks across the pond. Honest to gumption Welches! Funny what you can't find in the stores there.

shocking! how can they not have any grape jelly? at least you got him the real deal, I like the grape jam myself cause it's easier to spread. Sometimes there is just nothing that will satisfy except a PB & J, only Jif crunchy will do. You may have to pack him one of those too Rick.

I am sure you are probably aware, but make sure you pack jelly in checked luggage only, not carry on.

The fine Sir Amsterhammer reports that PB is widely available. Both chunky (his preference) and smooth. Grape jelly is looking like a business opportunity. Hmmm what is a jar worth on the black market? lol

I'm glad to see that grape jelly is getting the attention it deserves! lol

Agree Tres, there are times when only the pb&j as you describe hits the spot. It's not exactly true that Skippy Extra Crunch is widely available, but I know where to find it *taps side of nose knowingly and winks*

I am, of course, greatly in Rick's debt for this act of compassion and kindness. wink
