Topic: Dortmund show

Dortmund show was a great one. Like Gunter already said before at the Nurnbergshow there was more dynamics, rock and power in the show. First 5 songs acoustic and then the electric part.
No Woke Up Dreaming and no Just Got paid but a rocking Ballad Of John Henry , with a 8 minutes organsolo in the middle as last song.

Setlist: Seagull,Jelly Roll, Richmond, Jockey Full of Bourbon, Athens to Athens----Dust Bowl, You Better watch Yourself, Song Of Yesterday, Dislocated Boy, Drivin Towards the daylight, Who's been Talking, Blues De Luxe, Lonesome Road Blues, Django/mountain Time..........Asking Around For You, Ballad of John Henry

So, any idea what Joe's cryptic Tweet meant last night about wanting a do-over for Dortmund?  Sounded like he was upset with some technical problems.  Did you notice anything along those lines?

Thanks for the setlist, Andre. Wow, that's amazing he didn't do Just Got Paid or Woke Up Dreaming. If he keeps changing the setlists at every show, we might have to start going on tour following him around like we used to with the Grateful Dead smile

Technical problems may explain the 8 minute organ solo.  That just doesn't sound right.

You haven't been paying attention to the "new" BOJH that now stretches to near 13 minutes with the theramin leading into a huge power organ solo in the middle and a new blazing Joe solo at the end.  big_smile

There were some technical problems, I think with Joe's transmitter on his back. I was backstage beside the stage and Mike Hickey , Joe's guitarman, changed it and put a new one on.
There was bit stress a few minutes, normal of course when it happens in the middle of the show, but it didn't affect the show I think. When I went into the hall for the last 2 songs the sound was ok to me. Couldn't hear there was a problem.
